He shouldn't be fighting in a weight division that is obviously so unnatural for his frame. If he's coming into the ring at 140lbs+, he needs to move up to 135 or even 140 as soon as possible. Is it unprofessional? Yes, it is. You are a pro fighter fighting for a title, part of your job description is to make the required weight limit.

FINAL WORD ON BRONER: At 930 he has to weigh in. If he is over 140lbs the fight is off and Escebedo walks away"

Good. Being able to walk away is the best power you can have.

Broner better make the weight, cause Escebedo ain't bluffing.

Could be the best thing to happen to Escobedo. His chances of winning were very slim but now Broner can't gain more the 6.5 pounds over night he will have to work to keep that weight off and will most likely be drained. He was better off making the Weight and gaining as much as he wanted after. Stupid Broner.

I agree, Broner has a lower weight ceiling for this fight than one where he weighed in on the button and could blow up 13-15 lbs overnight. Pretty funny but I don't even know if he can make 140.

Escobedo has every right to request that too. This is what happens when you allow guys to suck down to a weight that is not right for them, then give them 24 hours to regain 10-15-20lbs. Ridiculous. Should be weighing in on the day of the fight, for mine.

Thats the smart thing to do, you have to look out for yourself as a fighter, I am sure Vicente did not come here to give himself the least possible chance of winning.

Rios is unprofessional one dimentional brawler. I was not a Rios fan even before him failing to make weight. Him failing to make weight just verified what a scum bag he is.

    Does that answer your question?
