R4H you don't see the flaw in your argument. If you were to just state "Black/Afro/African American Style" then listed a bunch of guys who actually fought in that style? We could have an enlightening Boxing debate.

Instead you listed a bunch of guys who all fought differently and/or have evolved as fighters and the ONLY common factor to them all was that they were Black. It makes any person examining the argument think you have a secondary (and most likely bigoted) motive.

It would be like me siting Matthew Hatton's performance as an example of the "Flawed European Style" then listing Joe Calzaghe, Ricky Hatton, The Klitschkos, and John Duddy. Is this about an actual style of Boxing or me just talking crap about men who seem to share the same skin color? :think

The bashing of Andre Dirrell is really old now. The guy was KOed by a legitimate illegal blow and couldn't continue. Only keyboard warriors come up with the "acting" bull**** that Abraham and his promoter started because they were sore about a legitimate loss in a fight he was losing anyway. And saying he's a coward when HE'S the one in the ring fighting is ridiculous too. Froch said it best when he said Dirrell was beating the brakes off Abraham anyways when the foul a occurred.

Secondly, this attaching styles to races/ethnicities is stupid. There are slick boxers from around the world but different ways of doing it. There are pressure fighters, counter punchers, brawlers from everywhere. In Mexico, the most famous fighters were aggressive pressure fighters and fighters come up emulating their styles. Mexican fans thrive for battles so that produces many fighters of that mold. Many European fight fans like more tactical and technical boxers and the so called European style reflects that with strong technique with little lose interpretation(sometimes considered stiff)

You can go anywhere in the world and find any style it's just some styles are much more prevalent in some regions than others.

See that is where your argument falls apart and got you attacked. You didn't list all pure counter punchers!

It does. You "BELIEVE" it doesn't and just like any "believer" you can't explain the logic you used to come to your conclusion. You just repeat yourself and ignore the cracks in your logic large enough to drive freight trucks through. This is why every time you are challenged to debate it intelligently you cut and run. It is YOU who will not debate this.

Counter Punching, no matter how you slice it, implies a second dimension because the Counter Puncher can (and often does) apply pressure with the right opposition. A pressure fighter CANNOT go into full effective counter punching mode if he steps in front of the wrong guy. This by definition means that the Counter Puncher at minimum has two dimensions and the Brawler (Mexican Style) fighter has one.

Your argument doesn't hold water!

    Question:

Does Dmitry Pirog have the flawed Afro-American style?

He is damned slick, but seems more of a Slick Boxer Puncher than a Slick Counter Puncher. So the answer is probably no.

However since Zab Judah and Andre Direll seem to fight alike if Dmitry happed to be African American? I am sure he would.

I actually heard Philla say Devon Alexander and Andre Dirrell fight alike.

It seems to be the opinion of alot of posters on here to say black fighters fight alike because they're black.
