Shame GBP wouldn't offer good money for a unification fight where Burns is expected to concede every advantage.
GBP are a shower of cocks stating the Burns priced himself out of the fight when the truth is Burns always goes into camp for 12 weeks for ALL his fights - no compromise. They offered him the fight on 7 weeks notice after having went through a 12 week camp for his December fight. Ask yourself this question...should Ricky go into the biggest fight of his career underprepared?! Of course he shouldn't...only the Broner tea baggers would say he should!
If Craney was any further up Broner's anus he'd need a map to get out, pointless pathetic attention seeking thread about something which has already been done to death. If Burns beats Vazquez he becomes the No1 in the division regardless of what anyone says and Broner will have to either fight him on fair terms or move up in weight.
LISTEN CRANEY "no way will boner come to the uk,coz his daft ego won't allow him to or gb"When Ricky beats Vasquez in a hard hard fight Boner will get it!
well to be fair, De Marco was a very good win, but he wasn't number one Perez was just some random guy with a padded record (oh, and he was getting coked up before the fight) Broner deserves no credit for the Escobedo win because of his conduct pre fight then coming in so huge
yes, for someone like Rees who holds no bargaining power whatsoever, why should Burns, a belt holder and top fighter at the weight, jump through hoops for Broners terms? You can't expect Ricky Burns, after a full training camp with no fight at the end after peaking then winding down, just to then train 5 weeks for a unification fight, that's an advantage for Broner
I don't usually like to spoil Craney's fun but there's some glaring errors here. Wasn't it 7 weeks? More pertinent is the fact that,as Brenny has pointed out,Rees took the fight because he's a relative nobody and will never get a payday like this on his own name.Ricky is an established belt holder and has no need to jump because HBO are demanding that Broner fill a date.Should Ricky take a fight with such short notice with so much at stake just because Broner is getting his arse felt? C'mon Craney. This is schoolboy stuff. But then again,it's a schoolboy error from me to even take the bait,so bash on Craney.
Gavin Rees' trainer Gary Lockett said yesterday that they have been in New York for 5 weeks now training solid. Ricky Burns said 5 weeks training wasn't enough, so they turned down the Broner fight. Is that fact, or a complete school boy error? Ricky Burns SAID it.
OK, Ill save this for a later date. Because I've maintained all along that if Ricky wins this fight, Morrison and W-arren will use the 2 belt card, and if you want the fight, this is where it is. If not. No fight. I hope I'm proved wrong. But with the rumors of Harrison in the summer (unless you want to correct us right now) I cant see a Broner fight until 2020. Why not Broner in the summer? The logical fight for both of them, providing they beat Rees and Vazquez, is a tear up in the summer, winner takes all. :huh 5th May, Cinco de Mayo - Burns vs. Broner. Las Vegas. Bright lights. Corona girls. HBO. On the (insert name here, probably Guerrero) vs. Mayweather undercard. Yet it will probably be Harrison vs. Burns in Glasgow on a rainy night. :rofl BTW is the Rees fight on Box Nation and Sky Sports, or just Sky Sports? I thought Broner had a deal with Box Nation? They were showing his fights....how will Burns vs Broner work out on TV?
