You're right. i don't call Ward a ducker yet because ther is a financial logic in waiting that Bute makes himself a bigger name. I just don't like the inconsistency way he talked about Bute. I'm sure Ward himself would like to delete a couple of things he said. I don't like "he earned a little rest" excuse and I don't like when his fans ***** Bute for not being part of the tournament.

But you are right, we should be talking of Froch-Bute, a great fight really happening.

Bute has made a ton of money fighting contender and no names since winning the title ..Yet Ward isn't allowed to take some easy fights

The only person that has protected his trinket has been Bute !

theres a lot of insecure people here, or perhaps just plain stupid, if they think a man who goes into a top six tournament willingly is ducking anyone. Andre is right to just ignore people like that - there are always ignorant SOBs in the world.

Bute is more of a ducker than Ward, but I am not slagging him unduly, he is turning into a solid champ.

The reasons to why Bute did not participate in the Super 6 have already been laid out. Those who arranged the tournament worked through and with promoters they knew well, and Interbox was not one of them.

Wlad and Vitali are understandable, but with Antonhy on the no-no list Ward now have three opponents he cant fight due to respect and or friendship. One is a prospect (Andre Dirrell), another is his mandatory (Anthony Dirrell) and the third is the man the wieght division above (Hopkins). Ward goes to far with this.

Bute progressively worked his way up by smart managerial moves, very smart actually. He built himself up financially and physically at an intelligent and moderate pace. His training and his drive for success has made him the fighter he is today, and at this point of his career & onwards, he is only looking for the best available bouts.

By the best I mean, $$$ of course, and the best and most talented opponents.

There is no reason to hate on a fighter that decided to go this route from the beginning. It was an intelligent way of uprising and I’m pretty sure Bute would give Ward a huge fight when the time comes or vise versa.

The reasosn why undefeated records are so overratted and the reason th sport suffers ! Im all for fighters making money but why can't they challenge themselves from time to time and not wait 5 or 6 yrs?

O, fine, fine. Lets just give Ward the benefit of doubt a bit longer then. I just have a feeling this will be another Haye vs Ward situation, and I find it annoying.

Andrade? Come one man I know you're better than that?:-( Abraham, Kessler and Froch sounds like a great wins to me.

Well he has been challenging himself from time to time. As I said progressivley... He started with lower grade competition and worked his way up. That's challenging himself. Now he's challenging himself with Froch, and next with the so called "best" hopefully.

Regardless.... he's a well built fighter and he will be greatly tested against Froch.

Ward did not KO Froch, and surprisingly Froch's relentless pace was kicking in very late. It's going to be a perfect match for all of us boxing fans!

Whats his record ? He's 30 -0 and he is just now facing a real test ..There have been plenty of fighters who stepped up in a shorter amount of time ..Ward in his own division already has a pretty good resume with less fights . Same with Foch and he's already a 2 x champ ..

I think that could be the reason these 2 are my favorite current fighters.

Agreed on this fight , at the end of the day we get this Gem of a fight no matter how much we debate all this !

It will treat us to a classic while keeping the supermiddleweight division Hot !

Abraham is not a good win. Nothing to add.
