After Kessler's post fight comments, I will NEVER root for him again.

What the **** are some of you fools talking about? Kessler lost a world title because of a cut that happened on the fifth or sixth intentional head butt. Of course he talked about the head butts. His face was a mess, and nearly every bit of the damage came for intentional head butts.

Ward couldn't stop Miranda, but he stopped Kessler!! Think about that for Christ's Sake!!!

    True.

Kessler is the gentleman of the sport.

    He only says the facts.

And while almost any other fighter would have retaliated after being butted, elbowed and hit while holding and so on... Kessler did zero retaliation the entire fight.

Almost no other fighter would do that.

Unfortunately Kessler may be (or well - is) far too much of a gentleman to win when the sport goes dirty.

Not at all. I was pointing out that he didn't overreact, he complained and that is that.

yup. regardless of any "cheating", kessler got completely and utterly outclassed. he had no chance in that fight and everybody knows it.

I'm not entirely sure you've even seen the fight, but in any case you didn't see the fight that most of us did. Headbutts or no, that's no reason for Kessler to have lost EVERY SINGLE round of the fight.

This is almost as good as your post about Pavlik murdering Ward in a fantasy matchup that will never happen because Pavlik can't be bothered to fight ANYONE these days, much less anyone good.

Did you not notice that the ref was ordering Kessler to let him go but not saying break? The upshot of that is that kessler couldnt defend himself as his arms were on the outside and Ward was allowed to still contine hitting. That happened several times. Not Wards fault though and it still doesnt excuse Kesslers lack of inside game last night.

Wow, this is a break from the poor sportsmanship and infantile classlessness... Good post. Somebody objective. Go figure.

Yeah, nobody gets away with anything in Germany...except gift decisions to the hometown fighter.

Wasn't of fan of the comments. If he had said, "he was fast and stronger than I thought" I would have respected him more.

Post fight interviews are ridiculous anyway...why would you expect a guy to give lucid and rational answers after he has just been punched in the head repeatedly? Kessler has always come across as a pretty decent guy and I'm sure he was just frustrated, hurting, and let it get the better of him. If he continues to crow about this fight instead of manning up and continuing on with the tournament hoping to redeem himself, then you can think about writing him off.

Having your face turned into hamburger meat by five flush headbuts and losing your title because someone's been holding your arms for 12 rounds will tend to get you a bit on the emotional side when being interviewed.
