I agree with you...although I don't think it will be as one sided as the Lacy fight. But Joe is very skilled. He has a lot of speed for his age and weight and on top of that he has faced the better opposition (which isn't that great, but still better than Kesslers list of opponents)

Andrade is back to beating up on guys and Mudine was on the roll until his recent eye injury. He impressivly knocked out Marcus Bayer in the 3rd. His got nice long jab, good technique, good stamina, and youth. I'm not so sure of Calzaghe victory.

Movement and handspeed are Anthony Mundines strengths, and he only had limited success vs Kessler. Now he isnt as good as Joe but he is pretty fast for 168bls.

the problem with mundine though was that he was timid against kessler, kessler looked bothered when mundine used his speed advantage but didn't do enough with it, he never went through witth it.

calzaghe on the other hand will swarm with all out aggression and go toe to toe with you.

Mundine looked good when he actually faught, but if he wasn't as defensive as he was, that wouldve given Kessler even more opportunities to land.

I think if Calzaghe goes toe to toe he will be hurt, unless he traps Kessler on the ropes.

Kessler moves pretty well so when Calzaghe goes for the flurries I think Kessler will move back/sideways and that will give him the distance he needs to throw the right.

One thing I don't think Kessler will do is stand there and trade with JC.

I guess I can agree with that.

I'll just have to take comfort in the fact that Kesler has had a bit more big fight experience since then, whereas Joe will (hopefully) just be aging.

he is weak against an overhand right, over the top, not a straight right through the middle.

robin reid was the guy who had great success with this tactic, kessler throws a good right but prefers to throw it after a jab, reid was just unloading rights out of nowhere, if calzaghe negates kesslers jab then the dane is in for a long night.

Kessler doesn't throw the straight right as a single shot either, he throws It In a combination.

    Calzaghe's going to prison November 3rd, I can't wait!

Gotta a lot of respect for Kessler, but he's never faced anything close to the level of skill, speed, and experience of Calzaghe. His ability, awkwardness, and experience says? I have to go with Calzaghe!

A few holes in Kessler's game might be exposed. Mikkel is a little too straight up stylistically for my taste. Now, he's an excellent 1,2, and is obviously very good at what he does, but is the repertoire complete? He is the #1 Contender and this is THE CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT. he can expect to see the level of game, at which stars are born.

Calzaghe has come a long way, this event has come a long way, record turnout's will have come a long way, it's getting HEAVY WW Exposure, and its absolutely a great event for Boxing:yep

His power is not the same because of the constant hand problems, his speed is declining(albeit not rapidly, more gradually) and his overall sharpness is not on the level it once was.

However, this was all apparant in the Lacy bout and he took care of business and his experience level is at it's best, so it should all even out.

Calzaghe will be as fit and quick as he was vs. Lacy, just not as quick and powerful as he was vs. Byron Mitchell, which may have been his last 'physical peak' showcase.

The Calzaghe vs. Mitchell with the right game plan would have just sent Kessler to hell in 5-7 rounds... that guy was unreal, but we'll have to deal with the fading supernatural powers and cheer him on and hope for another supernatural display from a wiser stand point by way of experience.
