Agit Kabayel set to fight in November

Realitically... its between Huni, Parker, Ajagba and unfortunately Hysa.

 

Tyson Fury is never getting in the ring with a legit opponent not named Oleksandr Usyk. That's why he's now calling out Usyk for the trilogy after he's managed to kill off the AJ fight.

I don't think Kabayel deserves anywhere near the praise he's been getting, but he's plenty good enough to beat the hell out of Fury.

It's gonna be Nelson Hysa or some equally uninspiring name.

 

No idea on the Zuffa stuff.

Fury is unlikely to fight Kabayel as (like Parker) they're supposed to be friends.

Wilder is a maybe, but I thought Usyk was eyeing him up. Good scrap to make though, and Wilder may have a bigger chance here than many think...

 

It's a fight I'd tune in to for sure. Just don't see Parker strutting straight into a title shot this soon sadly

Kabayel says that if nobody can fight him, he will pick Hysa. I really hope that's not the case, but I still have some hope because Frank keeps saying it will be a top 10 fighter. Hysa isn't in the top 10 on BoxRec or The Ring, and he isn't even in the WBC's top 40. But this is boxing. Worse title defenses have happened.

Also, can you translate that TikTok video? I don't know German, so it would really be helpful.

 

It's crazy that the people who constantly trash Kabayel's resume haven't even attempted to counter or correct this post. In an ideal world, Kabayel would be fighting Usyk right now.

An actually interesting fight for Fury if he’s fighting Kabayel. I’m favoring Kabayel right now.

 

At the end he says Hysa is ranked #5 or #6 in some federations so I guess that’s a done deal

 

How old was Zhang when Kabayel fought him?

I don't think there's really an argument about whether or not Kabayel beat him convincingly, the issue is how thin his resume is and the apparent reluctance to make bigger fights. If he winds up with another "gimme" in the form of Hysa, that perception won't improve.

The contract was signed ages ago to fight in the UK in November.


It’s Turki who wants the fight moved.

Now in order for that to happen, all they have to do is to sign off on the additions made by Matchroom, which don’t appear to be anything out of the ordinary.

At the moment, that hasn’t happened.


AJ hasn’t ducked, nor is he holding up the fight.
