Noone thought that, in fact it was the opposite because this was the first clear loss to a non world class opponent And it kinda ended Chisoras title ambitions
I'm astonished that someone could read my post and respond with that. Clearly I did not suggest that. Please get a brain.
For stating that people liked Morrison for his style, while British casuals mainly like Chisora for his personality?
No, you're in General sir. We all a need new brain after dredging through this cesspool for any extended period of time! I'm just messing around. No worries. Personally after a long time following the sport I now try to separate the art from the artist when it comes to boxers and their personal lives. Some of the greatest of all time were unfathomably horrible people. Sugar Ray Robinson himself was a truly evil man whos own son doesn't have any love for. I don't know. Focusing on the personal affairs of men who literally train in the art of hurting one another as badly as possible with their fists just seems besides the point. I definitely don't admire people like Valero and Monzon, but I can appreciate what they accomplished in the ring.
I'm a Chisora fan and I've never heard anyone say he was robbed against Kabayel. Derek was awful that night and just didn't put it on him. Kabayel deserved the win. He was robbed against Helenius. Watch that fight back and tell me he wasn't.
Yeah, it was easy enough to score that one for Kabayel. But something seemed a bit off about that fight. I don't have a source for this, but I remember hearing on some podcasts that Chisora has some connection to financial backers of the event. Monaco seemed an odd venue for the fight as well. And it kind of just looked like Chisora had been brought in to lose and be a name on Kabayel's resume at the time, as he didn't look interested in pushing for a win at all. I think this was before he linked up with Haye and got rebranded as "War" Chisora; he was somewhat treading water in his career after the loss to Whyte and was maybe taking money/fights where he could. Plus, how would he have been in position for a European title shot with Kabayel, anyway? Something seemed a bit off about the whole thing. Even so, it was light work for Kabayel.
