Can we wait until we see Kabayel's career play out? Unfortunately everyone seems to be avoiding him. So, we might not see a title fight until he's 40.

he could fight notable opponents in the meantime instead of sitting on his title shot. it is a way to improve

No, but he’s 17-0 and is the best Polish heavyweight.

I doubt "notable heavyweights" are exactly lining up to face Kabayel now.
Makhhmudov and Sanchez were tipped to beat him.
Zhang at least was expected to do better than LKO6.

I don't know who would be consider "notable" right now who would be willing to face him. They're mostly all playing the same game. Wait around and don't risk losing before the title shot.

At least he is unbeaten. Honestly, I am a fan of Kabayel. But after fighting a serie of notable opponents, I have seen a trend of inactivity with him and now fighting a little known opponent in his backyard.

Kabayel was in the same role until he beat Chisora.

Thomas UD. He never showed a real weakness to the body which is Kabayel's specialty. That jab would keep him at bay all night.
