Well don't worry because we'll get to find out next year, no excuses. The only thing that will stop it happening is if Uysk can't find a decent fight for Saudi money and Fury trilogy happens....which I see happening end of year. I don't see why they would delay Fury AJ to end of year....
I'm not even sure I'd rule that out... If Fury's in the better condition and lands a huge amount I could see an accumulation TKO. And if Joshua lands some big punches I could see him getting a KO - Fury's not impossible to knock down, and Joshua's finishing is better than most, it's not impossible at all. Almost every eventuality is pretty much on the table... At their absolute bests, it would've been fascinating, but because both are declined (and both their own worst enemies, mentally) it's still fascinating to see how it might play out. (If it happens).
Usyk doesn't like this guy. This is an elaborate trolling effort as revenge for Joshua's crash out after their second fight. This is about as stupid as Ricky Fatton being trained by Mayweather Sr.
Didn't say he was going to outbox him, but will he land clean? Yes, he will. He's fundamentally far more sound than Wilder, who dropped him multiple times. Will this version of Fury get up? No.
Taking an easy touch after a KO loss is pretty standard for the most part. AJ isn't doing anything 100's of boxer haven't done already.
Training with Usyks team might improve Joshua's boxing but it won't fix his biggest flaw of wanting to get into brawls, which is why he's been stopped in fights.
In fairness, it depends what version of Fury turns up, and how he intends to fight... And how Joshua intends to fight (condition is much more of a given than with Fury). Wilder dropped Fury in the two fights he was in poor condition for - there were levels between them when Fury was properly fit (ie: fight #2), just as there would've been levels between Joshua and Wilder. And even setting aside fitness, "kronk" Fury is much easier to hit anyway... But what Fury and what Joshua would show up, if it happens? That question alone is what makes it really interesting.
I think Fury will show up well prepared his ego is too big to accept losing to AJ. I favor Fury to win he understands that AJ is still dangerous and won't underestimate him he will box not looking for the KO but it will come at some point as he will hit AJ clean and hurt him.
Hopefully - if he doesn't, it could be a massive disappointment. It's possible - but it's a big ask for Fury to be in good enough shape to dominate... And when he's boxing for points and trying to be evasive he doesn't hit hard at all - that would make stoppage quite unlikely, especially as clinching is unlikely to be a great tactic against a physically stronger man and he'll need to be careful with energy levels. I've always slightly favoured AJ in this one - and he's certainly lived the life far more... Especially now, that could be decisive. There's lots of time for Fury to get into shape if he's planning far enough ahead - but this is Fury, so equally it wouldn't be at all surprising if he left it too late and wound up coming in not in great shape.
I think Fury will be boxing for points but when he sees an opening he will fire a hard shot like he did a couple of times in the first Wilder fight and I think even one of those shots will be enough to hurt or drop current AJ.
I can't say I can see that, but hopefully we'll get to see the fight - and maybe you'll prove me wrong. It's not so much that I can't see him trying to fire in the odd harder shot - it's more that I still don't think there's that much power behind them... For all the noise about Joshua's durability, especially with getting stopped early by Dubois - he's only been stopped by Dubois and Ruiz, and Dubois in particular hits very hard - does Fury actually have the power to significantly hurt him? We'll see, but I think it's unlikely if he turns up to box.
Well Fury was able to hurt Usyk with an uppercut and he sparked Whyte cold with one so I could definitely see a shot like that hurting AJ. Fury didn't seem like he was in seek and destroy mode in those fights either like he was for Wilder 2 and 3.
