Cant get too excited for this one, not when there are some great fights to be made at heavy. I know its a mandatory and all that but i'd rather see him in there with Dillian again or Ortiz.
Pulev will be a big underdog but not as much as Andy Ruiz was in NYC. He has the experience of the loss to WK and has tightened up his game since then. This will not be a blow out at all. I expect Joshua to repeat his safety first Saudi style and Pulev to push him.
Joshua needs to blow Pulev away to regain some of his old credibility and reputation. And I expect him to do so. Wlad at age 38 had a 33 year old Pulev out of there in 5 rounds. A 30 year old Joshua against a 39 year old Pulev ? I don't think this should last more than 3 rounds.
There’s absolutely nothing to suggest that Ortiz is better than Pulev. There’s not many fights out there to get excited for. Obviously the one we all want is Joshua v Fury. I’d like to see Joshua vs Wilder too but outside of that there’s not much. Wilder Fury 3 does nothing for me because it was so conclusive. Fury against anyone else but Joshua does nothing for me.
Almost certainly all gas. But Bob was rather bullish Pulev would chin AJ last week. I suspect he had been on the cannabis a bit too much
It’s a tough fight. A few years ago AJ could have been in real. He’s older and rustier Pulev but again now Joshua could be in trouble. We seen what happened with Ruiz 1, that for me was all down to the pressure of the Wilder KO of Breazeale a few weeks earlier. Obviously this one has got a bit more time to settle but he knows he’s going to be fighting out of the shadow of the Fury performance and needs to put one on himself.
I would like to see Whyte or Usyk in with Joshua, if the Fury fight can't be made. I agree though out of the AJ v Wilder/Fury there is not much to get excited about. Dubois' rise need to hurry up.
Joshua simply needs to forget about other things right now and keep his eye firmly on the ball, otherwise it could be slip up time again.
You need to let go of the ortiz bull ****. You have been sucked in by the hype machine. The dude isnt even that proven in the pros. Look at his resume its no better and in actuality worse then puluevs. It's a solid fight. Probably would be the second best fighter on wilders resume if he had fought him
