I'm not commenting on Hrgovic being done wrong in the past, I'm commenting on the fact Brits and Americans Get every single round/fight that is even the least bit questionable handed to them. Boxing and MMA are a tiny step above wrasslin in realism. No sport is on the up and up, those three are just bottom of the barrel along with roller derby.
Dubois didn’t get the KO vs Usyk which was a grey area. I don’t see Hrgovic being jobbed out of this one
Says he? He was given a choice of opponent by the Saudis and then suddenly became quiet. Dubois is about as good risk/reward fight as there is at HW right now.
If that’s the case, Usyk should just dump the IBF belt right now before the Fury and save giving those ungrateful charlatans a huge title belt sanctioning fee and the world wide name advertisement and recognition that the involvement in the fight would bring.
I agree but then the fight wouldn’t be for undisputed, each sanctioning body get 3% of the fighters purse so the IBF are smart enough to stay quiet until after the fight
Dubuois for all his limitations already has knocked out 2 of the top 3 heavyweights on the planet Sparked Aj in sparring years ago and stopped Usyk with a beautiful body punch which was deemed a low blow
Joshua is stinking rich, so I don't think he worries too much about the fees - He is milking the remains of his career and will accept a few more cash-out fights, and, really, who could blame him? Get out of pro boxing with the brain rather intact, retire, and enjoy life till the end... That's a very good plan, if you ask me. I don't really like AJ, very much, but, I must admit, that he is a very good businessman.
The worst decision in a major fight I can come to think of in recent years is an American (Wilder) getting a draw against a Brit (Fury). Don't think it's a staple that Brits have it their way. The low blow in Usyk-Dubois was a 50-50 that certainly didn't go the Brit's way, so I don't really know what you're referring to. One bad card in Usyk-Joshua 2? Usyk would very happily take that in exchange for Dubois's shot being called low.
I'm kind of starting to hope Dubois beats Hrgovic. I'm already fed up with this whole victimhood thing from and for a guy that's so far has had one remotely risky fight in his career but still is a mandatory.
dude what does that have to do with the fact that everyone including Parker and Ortiz turned down fights with Hergovic if you followed the sport closer you would of known about everyone in the top 15 of the IBF turning down a fight with him until finally Zhang took him up on a fight.
I know that he was given opponents to choose from by the Saudis and all one could suddenly hear was crickets. And Hrgovic shouting on social media that he wanted to face Parker isn't an actual offer or actual negotiations. That's just shouting on social media. I can do it right now and Parker will most likely "turn me down". Zhang didn't take to social media but instead spoke to Parker directly and got a deal made.
And why even call out Ortiz? He's done. He could have chosen a live hungry contender like Sanchez, Anderson or Kabayal for March 8: https://www.boxing247.com/boxing-ne...hrgovic-to-face-on-joshua-ngannou-card/273949 Instead he choose Dubois, who is unranked by The Ring, for June. The best money but very probably not the best opponent of the choices given to him.
Chisora getting the decision over Pulev was bad. The ref picking the british bum Cleverly up at the end of the round and walking him back to his corner against Kovalevwas all time corrupt. Not going to bother coming up with more because I barely watch the sport anymore.
