Not zero, but very slim, sure.

Because there are levels to this ****.

I hate having to pull out that cliche but when there's a chasm this big between two guys resumes the odds of the less proven guy winning are slim as (unless the more proven guy is completely physically and mentally shot, and AJ certainly isn't physically shot and didn't look mentally shot against Usyk in #1 either).

Heck, remember Joyce is 3-4 years older than Joshua too...
Can you name me a title fight between mature 30+ year olds where there's a chasm in experience/resume this vast and the older but less experienced guy wins?
Maybe there is one, but it's not gonna be common I wouldn't think.

Im going to go for Joyce, he takes a good shot and can whack himself, i believe this would boil down to who could outlast the other, and believe Joshua gets ground down from around round 5 and stopped in about 9, if anything Joyce is relentless when walking his man down, something which AJ is not comfortable with, so yeah JJ in 9.

Again, Joyce still has a lot to prove. But we can look at his attributes and see that he’d trouble AJ.

Joyce’s age isn’t that significant. He’s got less miles on the clock.

This would be an interesting fight to watch.

It’s also a shame that the Parker fight fell through.

That would have told us more.

Again, I understand what you’re saying about experience and resume. But stylistically, it’d be a tough match up for AJ.

Another important point to factor in with Joe Joyce is that he has a master trainer in Salas. With some small adjustment they gave Dubois things he could not handle. A proper trainer is important which AJ finally has with Garcia.

    Almost...

We can look at his attributes and see that IF they carry through the next level or two then he'd trouble AJ.

That's a big, big, "IF" though...

You know as well as I do how many times a dude looks real until he fights someone who's beyond him and that hype-train comes to a crashing halt... Not saying that's guaranteed for Joe, but it's always likely.

    Good points.

However, he’s shown me enough already for me to give him a decent chance.

We’ve just got to hope that he can get himself some better fights, so he can get in the mix with the top 5 of the division.

He’s currently in 2 decent positions with the rankings.

I think that he’s the no.1 mandatory for the WBO, and he’s no.2 for another org.

He`ll catch AJ with his own combos too.

With punches that slow? I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, but you're forgetting AJ handled big shots from Wlad too. Joyce has yet to be tested by anyone even remotely as talented.

Not for me, he's looked very solid with what he's faced... It's just he hasn't really faced much/anything of note IMHO, so there's only so much to take away from that.

    Indeed...
And more to the point, the time's running out for him to sink or swim at a better level of competition, ESPECIALLY if he continues to fight so infrequently.

He's intriguing, and it'd be a shame for him to retire without proving it one way or the other.

Yea... That's madness to me given who he's beaten though - his resume is nowhere near that level, but that's the alphabet loonies for you, isn't it?

Joshua. Joyce gets hurt and stopped on current form.

Joshua is fighting top end contenders consistently.

Joyce is fighting outside the top 20 consistently.

lol! His combos are quick and more varied than AJ`s, he goes to the body more mixing his shots up, he throws far more hooks than AJ does.

Dubois is as good as 90% of AJ`s opposition. Pulev was old, Wlad was old and so was Povetkin.
