If we get the same unsettled wlad of the fury fight.. then AJ.. if however he winds back the clock a few years, Wlad. I am picking AJ to win by TKO 8th.
Wlads left hand will be KEY in this fight. That jab (distance finder PLUS that hard ass step through jab) will keep AJ off his game all night. IMO while AJ is getting better and better every fight, his defense is still weak and his footwork is not good. Wlad wins with a masterful display of boxing skills with his jab and movement then KO's AJ with devastating right hands or left hooks
Wlad's performance in this fight is going to shock a lot of people. He will win. Joshua is not going to be able to keep Wlad back. You heard it here. Wladimir is still way beyond what is out there. If Fury were not bat dung crazy he would have lost to Wladimir by ko by now and we would be on to better things. Props to Joshua for taking the fight. Klitschko to win. Predicted by UD but a KO would not surprise me in the least.
I think the longer the fight goes the more it plays into Wlad's hands. AJ's chances are greatest early where if he can catch him early then it should be smooth sailing. If Wlad can take AJ's power or can keep AJ honest then I could see Wlad winning by taking AJ through a deep water swimming lesson.
this is going to be a lot more one-sided that many seem to think Wlad wins by decisive and devastating KO TKO at the very least
Past great potentially shot versus presently unproven potentially great in the making. Intriguing indeed.
I like AJ but I'm going with Wlad. I think Fury's awkward style has convinced people he can't pull the trigger but I'm not so sure. AJ leans forward too much for me and, after throwing a power-punch, leaves himself open to a straight counter.. With Wlad's jab and right-hand, that could be a disaster. I can't see AJ blowing Wlad away, so it'll probably be the first time he's went into the later rounds. Against the best fighter he's faced. It would be good for the sport if AJ won but I think Wlad has another big performance left in him.
I think Wlad has been declining. A younger Wlad I would pick in a heart beat. Going with youth on this one. AJ
AJ is merely a bully, who has become accustomed to imposing his size and power on whimsical inferior matched opponents who could not possibly defend themselves to any respectable degree. Wlad is finally going to put a stop to this nonsense, for here is a man that can not be bullied and intimidated by another man's physique. He'll will jab AJ's head off until he's laid there comatosed out on the canvas, yet still audible to his surroundings, mesmerised wondering what blunt force could accomplish such destruction. Meanwhile the ref counts to 10 while the rest of his handlers are left speechless, once more weeping with concern as they witness a motionless figure lay at the centre of the squared circle. The first thought that runs through their minds is how are they going to bleed money out of a corpse.
Vlad totally outclassed Joshua while sparring in camp. Vitali said if Vlad is focused the fight will be easy, age will not be a factor...............Foreman warned Joshua about Vlad's experience, Lewis picks Vlad, Wilder picks Vlad, etc. It all depends on how much Vlad has gone down hill and how much Joshua has improved.........Camerelle outboxed Joshua, but Joshua got a home town decision..............If I were betting on the fight, I would pick Vlad.................
Joshua easily. I don't rate Joshua particularly highly, but Wlad shot as ****. That said, the Wlad of 5 years ago would've schooled Joshua handily.
I'm not sure Wlad was shot against Fury at all. He was old and not at his best but Fury's awkwardness and skill is greatly underappreciated in that fight. Fury gave Wlad the most impossible angles to get his shots off, and then sneak in with a fast punch or two to nick the rounds. Wlad didn't look too good against Jennings before that either, but Jennings was running away much of the fight. Joshua is a young tiger for sure but he's never shown any special boxing skill. He's quite square-on and he might be wide open to left jabs and left hooks.
