Wlad failed to drop Fury or even really trouble him, despite being one of the biggest punchers in HW history and going on to send AJ to the canvas and have him in survival mode for 5 rounds 17 months later. Whyte and Chisora 2 never gave Fury anything to think about, let alone drop him. Whyte won 0 rounds against Fury if we're being honest but on average the judges gave him 1 of the 6 contested. Wilder won 3 rounds by default due to KD's across the trilogy, got 3 non-KD rounds in the first fight on average and another 2 non-KD rounds in the third. So officially it's Whyte 1, Wilder 8. Not "nearly the same" by any count. Wilder was dropped by a solid hook to the body, Whyte was KO'd by a shot that only half-landed. What is showing heart? Ignoring the referee, laying back on the ropes and waiting for it to be waved off?
Mitch, you claimed that Fury didn't beat Wilder back in 2018/2019. Why weren't you saying Fury was robbed back then when you rated Wilder as the 4th best HW in the world? What changed? "I don't see how I can include someone who hasn't beaten a top 40 fighter in almost 4 years." - Sep 2019
Quite a few people seem to rate Zhang a wee bit because he fought well against the overrated Hrgovic. Zhang and Hrgovic.. I'm starting to hate this heavyweight era of boxing.
This could be a very good fight! Zhang isn’t average. He was a sliver medalist in the Olympics last time and only time as a pro beaten by Hrgovic.
Zhang impressed me in his last fight against Hrgovic, which I thought he won. I don't think he'll do much against AJ or Joyce though but he's got an iron chin so will go a few rounds with them. He just has very poor stamina.
I think Zhang is just too easy to hit. Joshua looked fairly sharp in that last Usyk bout despite being beaten.
Look at Redbeard trawling back through peoples posts over three years ago, strange that a poster who has only had an account for a few months would know what Mitch said in 2019 and would want to try and find it. That is unless of course you were on here under a different name back then?
Yes, but the accuracy and power of his punches combined with his quick hands make this a pick em' type of fight. I thought Zhaag lost to Hrgovic but proved a great many thinks while doing it. He got credit for a fishy knockdown for a behind the head / push down for a 10-8 round but was generally out landed thought the match. He is fast handed southpaw and skilled counter puncher who will prove to be difficult for Joshua to handle. No prediction given. I think this is a hard to call fight.
