Ever since AJ lost to Usyk, and Wilder again from Fury, I think the AJ Vs Wilder fight is most needed by the heavyweight division (for other reasons, though it would be a popular fight, and a paid one). Two former champions, both broken in spirit (each in their own way), but one can rise. Who wouldn't want to watch that fight (they should have fought for the undisputed champion, but that time has passed)?
The Bronze Dosser is coming off back-to-back baptisms in his own church performed on him with gypsy holy water by Father Fury. The Dosser is done. Exposed and deposed. Career over. Dead and buried. Game over. Sayonara ****house.
I wouldnt be surprised if Wilder does it. Great fight for both of them, would be huge. They would both make a load of money.
Perfect for me would be each taking an inbetween fight (or two for Wilder, one tune-up, one legit up-and-comer) to give some contenders a shot and if they win then fight each other, winner then fights Usyk/Fury or whoever is the kingpin by 2023. Joshua could fight Joyce, Wilder Hrgovic/Sanchez/Parker as some examples. The top guys just fighting amongst themselves robs the guys around them of their opportunity.
That's really good for him. I like when boxers leave the sport taken care of. IF DW is content with just being a belt holder w/ a poor resume, but made a mint, no issues with that.
What an odd statement, considering Joshua doesn't have any belts and never fought for the actual world title. It's not like Wilder would pick up any belts fighting Joshua in a non-title fight. If Wilder and Joshua fought, it would only be about money. And Wilder seems to have plenty of that right now. Joshua will pick Wallin. He was looking at falling to 24-3 with another loss to Usyk. Joshua needs to start stacking wins. There's still a question of whether Joshua will finish with a better win-loss record (31-7) than freaking Audley Harrison. Will Joshua even win 30 fights before he loses 7? We'll see.
Odd??? I'm talking about Deontay here. I don't care he has money. Does nothing for me. And like I said, if YOU believe he's content with huis accomplishments, more power to you/him whatever. Still a weak as **** resume if he were to retire now. He was just the HW version of WW titlist Andre Berto. No HOF unless he stand in line, buys a ticket.
