He does come off that way at times and I think a lot of people get pissed off by his constant trolling/patronising approach on Facebook, but he is a nice guy. You've met him too IIRC?

It would be better if he just kept doing his own thing instead of being concerned with other interviewers though. Kugan came out on twitter and essentially said; "I'm not a boxing expert, I'm a fan. I've never insulted Apollo etc", which is more than fair enough IMO.

I think maybe the fact he's moved around with pro boxers in sparring he gets a false sense of...ability and I hope it doesn't come back to bite him on the arse, as although it takes balls to get in the ring with the likes of Rios, they were just playing around and at the end of the day, Apollo has only had one amateur bout himself and all he has to do is come across the wrong way to the wrong person and they won't be so willing to take it easy on him.

Most people would have called Dean Powell up and fallen straight for his bait, hook line and sinker and eaten up whatever he had to say just to be near the middle of everything.

Fair play to the young kid, he called it, and stood his ground and now has called them all out. Whats to not like about the lad even if he is off the wall...this is boxing ffs lol, half the people in the sport are off the wall and calling everyone out lol

Except that Dean Powell probably never even sent that text. It wouldn't surprise me if Simba just made it up. He's clearly got a screw loose.

 

Maybe. I did however just replay the video and pause it on the text message and then dial the number that says he received the text message from. A chap calling himself Dean answered the phone.
Maybe it's a bit like when someone Frapes your Facebook, but this time he got Mraped by leaving his mobile unattended? Or maybe Dean did send it to him to keep him close and attempt to buy ?
