    There were several fights in January alone that were better. (that was the best month of 2012 so far in terms of pure back-and-forth adrenaline charged action... if you made a list of top 10 FOTY candidates of the year so far, half would be from the first month...)

    Marquez-Mepranum II was pretty freaking awesome, too. But yeah, Matthyse's been in two exceptional fights this year (with Soto and Ajose).

    Testament to how tough and relentless Matthysse is. Ajose could have upset a lot of top guys in the division with his performance tonight.
