The guy is worth $100 million plus. Surely he can afford to go to the best trainers out there ie Roach, Abel Sanchez, Eddy Renoso etc, why does he intend to stay in his comfort zone?
It doesn't matter who trains Joshua for now, because Usyk is done due to the war in Ukraine. He will never be the same fighter, he is probably mentally destroyed and can't properly do boxing training. Maybe he is carrying ammunition to some bunker at the moment. He will probably retire. In recent interviews, Joshua is seen relaxed and happy because of this. He will get his belts without having to fight Usyk again. That's why he is rooting for Whyte at Fury vs Whyte match. He wants to be undisputed heavyweight champion by beating Whyte again.
Why bother? Fury is retiring, and Usyk has been pushed into fighting in a war. He is effectively #1 again. Which is fine with me. I am a fan of all three. It will be nice to see him to well.
Not a bad move. He seemed to be gelling well and improving under Fernandez when he first brought him on board.
He hasn`t been improving, he fights okay on the backfoot but he`s easy to counter on the front foot and can`t land enough hooks nor does he tyhrow many hooks, very limited fighter, he does have a great uppercut on the backfoot though.
So he's gone round the world looking for a new trainer and they all want the same percentage McCracken was on, so he's turned to someone already employed and probably happy to take less...
