There was some critique of him in Denmark, as he should have applied some training method, where he would shout the name of a famous boxer, and then Tom Bogs should throw a specific punchcombinations. Fx. "Zale" - a short move to the right followed by an overhand right and some deep work. Does that sound right? And what are your thoughts about it?
This is probably the best boxing book I've read. Examines the careers of many top trainers from the 20's thru the 60's. Ray Arcel, Whitey Bimstein, Freddie Brown, Mannie Seamon, Al Silvani, Eddie Futch, Angelo Dundee, Jack Blackburn. Thoroughly recommended.
