Alex Arthur - was it the weight or the rust

    I see him above euro np IF he had stuck with Harrison but he didnt and i always wondered what if. No doubt the changing of trainers wasnt a good thing and has played a big part on his career but thats how it goes i guess.

    Warren didnt help much, kept him ticking over sure but just seemed to keep him waiting. Thought AAA could have been more demanding but he seemed to love Warren a LOT.

    Anyways, i can only judge on what i see and read and when he turned pro after a cracking amatuer career, i certainly had high hopes watching him coming up.

    On a semi seperate note, check the win-loss ratio of the fighters before the Gomez loss. Certainly not the padding you see these days.

    Nobody and i mean not even Arthur himself should class 'Amazing' Alex Arthur as a World Champion.

    The trouble with AA was that he had more trainers than Footlocker! Seemed to change evey fight, and I bet you he had more trainers than boxing gloves!
    Shame really, I think he believed the hype more than anyone else, I do believe at his best he would beat Murray and Mitchell, not now though.
