Alex did nothing this round, too much bouncing. Sprott dictated the pace with his jab, even catching Alex with an overhand right over his lazy jab. Clear round for Sprott.

 

They were pawing and mostly missing that round....ding was throwing and landing some power shots.....plus taking the fight to Gomez....that was actually a pretty clear round in a fight I only gave 2 rounds to Ding

 

sprott knows how to fight tall guys since sparring so much with BOTH K bros... surprise he seems to have issues

 

I really liked the part when the crowd was silent.

 

I don't think that's necessarily the smartest thing to do when you're 6'7 and weigh over 250 pounds though.

 

19-19 Sprott landed the most significant punch in that round. Dimitrenko nearly **** his pants.

 

Dimitrenko v Arreola would be interesting

 

Round 3

Dimitrenko hops to his left and jabs Sprott between the eyes from long range. A pair of bent-over-sideways body hooks by Dimitrenko. Fall down. (slip) Sprott is tossing up his jab and trying to pierce through Dimitrenko's force-field. Dimitrenko keeps backing up and feinting with both hands. Dimitrenko crouches and throws a few body shots before Sprott hugs him in close. Jabs between the gloves by Dimitrenko. Circling left, Dimitrenko keeps jabbing hard to knock Sprott's hand out of the way and clear a path to jab him in the face. Sprott now starts to duck to his right and leave his glove up as a decoy to attract the jab. Sprott walks forward without punching, high guard up. They clinch and spin out. Dimitrenko jabs and circles left, and opens up with a right hand just before the bell as Sprott tries to reach over with a counter.

Could be. I didn't notice anything big landing for Ding until the 10th. In all honesty Buckland-Sykes had more of my attention at the time. :yep

28 - 29 Sprott

Alex landed a nice counter right after feinting Sprott to draw him in, but other than that too much circling and not enough pressure. Sprott had some nice work to the body and I felt he controlled the action and dictated the pace. Sprott round for me.

Sprott is in Journeyman mode, he needs to start working Dimi's body, he's in Germany fighting for a title and he looks like he just wants to collect his pay cheque for lasting 10 rounds.
