He most assuredly does not ! There has never been a boxer in any era who could slap Pov around. This is a great (if hypothetical) fight ...two guys whose styles match up for entertainment extraordinaire. I would pay more to watch this fight (if it could be arranged, the difference in eras notwithstanding), than most contemporary bouts. A cracking fight...and I'm leaning towards Charles by a hard-fought, points decision.
I have to admit that there is something to this. I call it all the time on Holyfield and Jones, and Povetkin has those same doubts.
It's an antirussite lie that has no basis other than a silly technicality. People act like he was on steroids, but that's not even vaguely true. It's like the lie about Trinidad's gloves being loaded when it's a minor difference in regional rules and nothing whatsoever to do with loading gloves. I'm sorry, it's just nonsense. Yet people look at Liston and assume THAT guy wasn't juiced? Have you guys ever seen Povetkin? WTF juice does that? Apple juice? Hotdog juice? The hate for Russian fighters is so unbelievable. This is why more people need to watch Rocky IV.
Just the ending part. Not the earlier stuff that shows some things that are not accurate. Just the part where Stallone learns that Russia is cool and tells them he thinks they're cool now.
Can someone tell me definitely about Povetkin being caught multiple times juicing? I usually never pay attention to these things, but am very curious to know!
If one can just google it, how does Boxed Ears, above, make a statement like this and expect his points (if you can call them points), to be believed?
Because he likes to make troll posts hence my response to him is not taken seriously. Not to be disrespectful maybe I should say "tongue in cheek" instead of troll.
Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum, I never said he wasn't "caught" on anything on the banned list. He was. I said people make it sound like he was juiced with steroids. He wasn't "caught" juiced on steroids. He was "caught" taking Meldonium, which was only a recent addition to the banned list for WADA, and in some parts of the world that aren't yours, is considered fine, and, gee, maybe for political reasons they decided to get their panties in a bunch over. Anyone who looks into this knows this is garbage. It was a very minor infraction, and I compared it to Trinidad who had his hands wrapped slightly differently than one particular fight's commission accepted and was later accused of loading his gloves, in a grotesque exaggeration of what actually was the case. But, I'm trolling, okay. My tongue is on the roof of my mouth, exactly where my mama put it when she birthed me. Maybe you two should do a little Googling. Good day, gentlemen!
It hinges on the definitions of "he," "caught," and "was." Also, "steroids," "Meldonium," "tongue," "trolling"...a lot of words, really. It's a very verbal claim.
