It’s been a while since I actually feared for someone’s safety in a match. Price is getting the Ol’ motherboard shut off in this one. And I mean SHUT OFF. Hope he leaves the arena on his own accord.
Price knows what his job is in this fight. Hopefully he turns up in good shape and is able to last atleast into the 3rd round. It would be a let down if he was knocked out clean in 1 round. Hopefully price can get some of his pride back in this one. Price is approaching the stage in his career now that A Farce was at, when you knew if a top HW went all out at him it would be over in 1 round. I am thinking of the Wilder loss for A Farce here. There are definite parallels between this fight and when A Farce faced Wilder.
Yeah. For a long time, I was hoping Price could beat a fringe contender and rehab himself a bit. But if he's fighting the likes of Sasha now, I hope he just retires, assuming he gets the loss we're all assuming he'll get
Why did Price decide to fight Povetkin? He should have fought an easier fight, hell, Chisora would have been much easier, there were so many much easier fights out there for him, hell, Price needs to get his confidence back, I don't think his size will help him against Povetkin.................
Price is there to make current Povetkin look like 2014/2015 Povetkin, probably as a future Joshua opponent.
Price hasn’t looked good I years. Not since second Thompson bout. It destroyed his confidence and I was calling on him to retire after the Teper bout. I don’t expect him to see the 6th round. However he was ESPN prospect of the year and a Bronze medalist if he could turn back the clock and look like 2013 Price he could make it interesting. I just don’t see it happening at all. Povetkin is a calm and very technical fighter. Also throws excellent combinations which will be a nightmare for the taller and longer Price. I expect a KO from Povetkin somewhere around round 5
