Povetkin also throws a nasty left uppercut. I see that landing on Morrison clean---he did get hit with shots he never saw coming. Once Tommy starts looking for that second wind in the 4th or 5th round, I think he forgets defense/gets sloppy & gets nailed with one of those beautiful uppercuts. And it would be all over within about 30 seconds after.
Morrison is faster and the better athlete, I see him getting his punches first to win an early stoppage. 60 - 40 Morrison for me
Povetkin rather easy pick for me. Just must better defensive fundamentals, more proven, just a better fighter.
Another vote for Povetkin. Morrison's left hook was a peach and you could make an argument it was better than Povetkin's. But, Povetkin was better in virtually every other area than Morrison. He has the durability, punch variety, the stamina and punch placement to really wreck guys. Povetkin also has a considerable skill in slipping punches that I never really saw in Tommy as much. Morrison would have to spark him early or Povetkin very likely dismantles him in the course of the fight.
I'd favor a Povetkin with zero pro experience over any Morrison. Different levels of fighter, clearly.
Wow, I didn't know I'd be of the minority here Morrison of the Mercer fight would struggle here, but after the Mercer fight, Morrison made adjustments. Adjustments that would be key here, outboxing and pacing. Morrison would be the hardest puncher Povetkin has fought, not only that, but he'd be the best puncher too, due to his freakish handspeed and accuracy. I think Morrison KOs Povetkin in the early-mid rounds, after having to dance around him for a bit. Alot like the Foreman fight, but with a knockout. At the very least, I think Povetkin is comparable to Ruddock, and I think Morrison was a much more legitimate champ than Povetkin
Actually Mercer said Morrison was the hardest puncher he ever fought, so he hits harder than Klitschko Joshua's power is overrated, doesn't hit as hard as Klitschko imo. No ****ing way that Price hits as hard as any 3 you named
Boxers have a way of bigging up the guys they beat I note that Wlad dropped Mercer and Tommy did not ... Yeah, maybe Price is behind Tommy, on second thoughts.
