Malinaggi should come out of retirement and fight Algeri for one last belt how exciting would that be.

Yeah, you'd get about 1000 people watching....on TV. Put a little rouge on Paulie's gloves and a little mascara on Chris' gloves and whoever has the most smeared on their face at the end of the fight is the loser.

Provodnikov got exposed for the limited one trick pony that he is....Don't get me wrong I like him alot and love his approach to fighting, but he's never been an elite fighter and he will never be an elite fighter.

He also looked to have big time stamina issues against Algieri.

Just reWatched several of his fights including Provo.....stiil had Provo winning but by far less margin 114-113.

& his other fights are like young Mayweather Sweet P type schooling.

this kid has a GREAT FUTURE.....Arum should move him to 147 where his speed advantage would be even more pronounced....pit him against Rios than see how badly he schools Guerrero or Berto....then push fora May/or Pac fight.....a win against those guys give him PPV appeal.....

and the power is there.....just needs to sit down some on the L hook down stairs n the 123

Floyd Mayweather has plenty of fights where he doesn't "hurt" his opponents. I've heard he does pretty good PPV buys :good

If he sits on his punches his entire style changes. Stupid of guys to say oh if he had power he would ko'd Provo. That's dumb. He could create more power by sitting down on his shots but then he's not moving as much and he's not throwing nearly as much. Then he's a totally different fighter.

Floyd puts far more on his shots than Algieri. Floyd's straight rights keep his opponents honest. By the way...fukk floyd.

His jab and cross, hooks to the body, some uppercuts were all keeping Ruslan honest. His "lack of power" is being blown out of proportion here. He snapped Ruslan's head back on many occasions. and don't forget, he was fighting basically with 1 eye 1/2 the fight, he could've been in safety mode more due to that.

I like guys that can skillfully box. Algeri deserved the victory in my opinion. Guys I don't like which seem to be "fan favorite" are guys like Figueroa. Now HE sucks.

I'm not a fan of Quillin either, his technique just looks off. Rigo, Mayweather, and Ward are my favorite.

It is the fighter chasing that makes the fight boring.

I never said he lacked power, I said that he puts nothing on his shots. There were punches landed where I was like "oh nice shot" but the vast majority of algieris punches were just speedy taps with no intent of doing anything other than touching. I have no problems giving ruslan a round where Algieri lands 15 of those to ruslans 8 power shots. Espescially when ruslans pushing the action and algieris patty cake shots off the back foot are an attempt to get away from the onslaught as opposed to inflicting any damage himself. Again, this isn't the amateurs where more landed shots win.
