Great post. I agree with everything but I give Algeri a slightly higher percentage of pulling off the upset. His physical dimensions are definitely an understated advantage for the underdog.

Provodnikov beat Algieri, but was cheated, I have to agree with Teddy Atlas on that one. Pac should knock Algieri out..................

    Manny Pacquiao.

    Age: 16 - 108 pounds.
    Age: 25 - 126 pounds.
    Age: 31+ - 147 pounds.

    Floyd Mayweather jr.

    Age: 16 - 106 pounds.
    Age: 25 - 135 pounds.
    Age: 31+ - 154 pounds.

    Can you explain Floyd's ?

They never got to the point where the fight was really going to happen. Pac didn't have an opportunity to take additional random drug testing because of the blood testing requirements that neither side could agree on at the time. Manny agreed to unlimited random urine tests throughout camp but the blood tests seemed to be the reason why Floyd didn't accept the fight.

Algeri isn't as fast but he is younger and a very solid boxer. Tim really didn't give Manny much trouble at all. It was semi competitive but Manny easily won and in clear fashion......both times. If anything gives Pac problems with what Algeri brings to the table le it's his height, reach and age......He's got a decent shot at ppulling this one off but it's not a likely outcome.

Pacquiao decided to accept Mayweather's demand for a 14 day cut off.
When negotiations resumed, Mayweather said the random test should be done all the way up to the fight.

When Mayweather fought Mosley, Mosley's random tests stopped 18 days before the fight.

So Mosley was 18 days while Pacquiao agreed to 14 days.

No, random blood testing with a 14 day cutoff was what Pacquiao wouldn't agree to. Nice try, though.

First of all i didn't talk about Mayweather, it's possible he juiced too.
Second of all i don't think your graph looks very professional - where are the informations taken from? Because according to my research, Pac weighed only 98 pounds at age 16: "Pacquiao started his professional boxing career when he was just 16 years old, stood at 4'11'' and weighed 98 pounds (7 pounds under the minimumweight division). He admitted before American media that he put weights in his pockets to make the 105-pound weight limit.". Some of it can of course be explained by Pac growing around 7 inches since then which is also a bit suspicious. I don't know how tall Mayweather was at 16. But it also proves that you can't compare their weight now till when they where 16 because they weren't fully grown.

We all know the first fight between Tim and PAC was a debacle. Time was given the decision but he didn't win the actual fight inside the ring. There weren't many who thought the fight was close in either of the two encounters. The robbery was so bad in the first fight that it was brought up as a topic in congress. Lol.... Tim ran a lot and played it safe in order to make it 12 rounds but he didn't win more than a few rounds between the two fights.

Algeri has a shot.....but it's not likely that he will be able to pull off the upset. With that said.....we've seen bigger upsets in this sport and Algeri seems intent on proving everyone wrong. He's not coming to lay down that's for sure.

Floyd didn't bring his speed and power with him, that's the difference.

He absolutely brought his speed and reflexes with him. He lost power as he moved up but, that had a lot to do with his brittle hands and how they were prone to breaks. That's why Floyd fights in LV.....becuase xylocaine is not considered a illegal drug for athletes in the state of Nevada.
