I’ve had about seven letters from them since I moved into my new place 12 months ago. They keep warning me I’m due a visit from their inspectors. After about four letters the next one came in a bright red envelope, supposedly to try to scare me. I feel like giving them a ring and saying “when are you nonce defenders coming round? I’ve had the tea and biscuits out for months”. Shame on anyone who pays that pa eodophile enabling organisation a penny. It’s not the licence fee it’s the pa edophile tax.
Agree with you 100% mate. My misses was getting worried, I told her there is no need and let me deal with them. I'm actually looking forward to the scumbags knocking on my door.
The bright red envelope. I had one years ago. Hilarious. The inspectors are just sales people trying to earn commission, as you will know. Many people don't realise that. If they come to your door, and you know it's them, just don't open. If they come and ask you if you are the occupier, don't confirm either way. Ask them who they are, and if it's TV licensing simply shut the door on their face without saying anything and carry on with the rest of your day.
Enjoyed the first episode particularly liked the early scene when Ali was in a cafe with his little daughter
My first memory of Ali was the Olympic torch moment. I was 9. I didn't understand who he was or why he was in such a bad way. Rewatching it as part of this documentary was very moving. Just so cruel.
