I have not seen Breidis fight so couldn’t participate but this post hits me far harder than all the posts claiming to be sad for Mike frigging Tyson, apparently everybody’s favourite convicted ******, collecting $40 mill in a debacle. The top-Heavy HW threads are a shame.

In a direct fight, yes, Ali likely wins. However, as a comparison of events, the 1980s fights were far more tragic and arguably criminal. Mike took almost no real damage in the Paul fight, whereas Ali's fights directly contributed to the further degradation of his brain, ultimately leading to his untimely death.

    Ali of course

In the battle of these two as shot fighters, I’d rather match up a 80-81 Ali against a 05’ Tyson

I can't think of a better way to make cash than earning over 20 million bucks for 16 minutes of hard sparring.

What about 38 year old Holmes vs 58 year old Tyson?

The Ali who fought Berbick in 1981 maybe but not the one who was in the ring against Holmes in 1980. Again, Ali had a potentially lethal pile of thyroid medicine in him that night, that's why he was so light. Go back and watch the fight. After the first round or so the man could barely lift his arms to defend himself, let alone punch against anyone even as lame as aged Tyson or Jake Paul.

The Ali that very competitively fought Berbick would have easily beaten that Tyson or Paul.
