Close fight. But, I give it to Ali - by decision.

Valuev has only lost once in his career. He won against David Gaye imo.

:huh So... your saying because Ali lost not only to a 5'11'' HW, but one of the best of all time in Frazier, Valuev had a chance? Valuev got beat by a shell of Holyfield, how is Valuev going to have a chance? Can Valuev even go 15? Not even Haye would stand a chance, much less Valuev.

    I agree.
Frazier is just a beast.. The way to beat ali, is via pressure. Exactly why I think Rocky Marciano would do extremely well against Ali.
Valuev does not provide any pressure, I'm positive Ali would dance circles around this fool.

How can we even argue on this? Valuev by brutal 1st round KO.

Also: This is a good way to make people look stupid.

Etienne is the same height as Ali and even bigger dimensions. Had similar experience to what Ali had when he fought Frazier the first time, when he lost (Minus the dive Liston fights). Look up Norton+Football, you moron. Then come and tell me not to call him a football player! Why was the seventies so great? Did you see how little guys like Lubbers and Chuvalo were giving Ali hell? :patsch Chuvalo actually put Ali in the hospital peeing blood! Who made Valuev pee blood exactly? Valuev is far more durable than Ali who got knocked down repeatedly by nobodies. Ali punked out on every real challenge he had (Holmes, Berbick) and some guys that shouldn't have even been challenges! This guy struggled with one of the few super heavies out there in a past it Liston leftover in Wepner. He looked terrible! And Wepner only got stopped by the ref because he was exhausted, which Valuev has never been. Ali looked like absolute rubbish against pothead Lubbers and claimed hand troubles. Yeah, just like Clottey's diarrhea troubles, right? And, I'm sorry but if Valuev was skilled enough to outbox Holyfield (a proven modern heavyweight) then he was skilled enough to deal with the fast handed hype job that was embarrassed by this guy:

Haye is almost as fast as Ali, far FAR more powerful and bigger. Much better balance and close in skill.

but you're basing everything on height and size, which isn't accurate. like I said before; so what If he's bigger, he's still not skilled enough to deal with ali's combinations. and would you stop that modern heavyweight bull****. the pocket size heavies were actualy better. at least they had skill. evander Holyfield, (was smaller then Ali? blown up cruiserweight if you're going by size beats all, which you are.)was actually sticking-and-moving against valuev. something that a PRIME Ali wouldve done much better. It would be like the first Liston fight; valuev wouldn't even be touching him. honestly these heavyweights are NOT better then the 70s heavies. pathetic to think they were. they have no class or style, and valuev is a prime example of this. without the size, he'd be ****. If haye can outbox him, then please tell me why on earth Ali can't? he's faster, more skilled, and he can move better then haye. power wouldn't be a factor because of valuevs chin and ali's chin, so it would come down to skill which valuev is lacking deeply.
I also find it funny you're taking about all of ali's fights that apparently "gave him hell." look who won. Ali. so don't bring that bull**** up especially if Ali wins in the end??
oh chuvalo was very tough and he would pressure valuev and give him a fight not neccearly beat him though.
and norton was a good boxer for a stylist like Ali. STYLES is another reason why Ali would probably win. valuevs style is tailor made for ali: the key to beating Ali is to pressure him, like Frazier and chuvalo did. valuev wouldn't. he's no Frazier. I think Frazier would beat valuev too, Joe Bugner is basically like valuev, only not as tall or big. but he had more skill compare to him, so well use bugner as a comparison.
honestly I think bugner is better then valuev. he would beat him.. this is just a stupid discussion anyway. valuev is NOT. a good heavyweight. Joe frazier would anahilate him.

Joe would "annihilate" VALUEV? What, like he "annihilated" tiny little Bonavena? AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Hey, how about like Frazier "annihilated" FLOYD CUMMINGS!!!!!! Look who won in the fights Ali looked like crap in? But why did he look like crap? And I feel Valuev beat Haye, who I think would've destroyed Ali too. (Think Berbick/Ali only with Berbick six times as good). And Ali came from a time when there was no Cruiserweight division. Ali himself would've been a Cruiserweight just like Holyfield, except Holy's frame is much bigger and more muscular. They were both Light Heavyweight Olympians, by the way. Valuev isn't as fast as Ali and that's why you're perceiving less sKill. You're being flimflammed by flash without substance. Niko is far more fundamentally sound than Ali. Which is why he doesn't get knocked down all the time like Muhammad did once upon a time.

Ali was shot when he fought berbick.. and ou think he'd get beat that bad? bulll****. but I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, because we're repeating ourselves. too bad we never saw Ali get "tested" against modern "superior" heavyweights. he wouldve done fine. it's funny that your Niko couldn't even beat a washed up holyfield convincingly.
whatever, it's really your own fault if you think Ali would get knocked out by VALUEV.. of all champs, you pick damn valuev..

Valuev steamrolls Ali early, anyone who disagrees with me is an idiot.
