Wlad would get frustrated trying to find the moving Ali, just look at the Sultan fight and notice how much trouble he has finding a moving limited object.
But not only Ali is a moving object he actually has a great jab himself that will be landing while moving. And Ali would also land his fast straight right and
I don't know how many of those Wlad's fragile chin can withstand.

obviously 'styles make fights' and honestly i see wlad giving ali a bit of a beating. wladimir would have a lot more trouble with fighters like holyfield, foreman, lewis, holmes and frazier but against ali, wlad is so technically good at what he does i would expect him to shut him out for 12 rounds

when has ali had to take power punches from george foreman for 12 rounds? are we talking about a different foreman here?

I believe Ali would out smart him and take him into deep water. He would eventually stop Vlad late with or without Manny in his corner. Who the hell is Chagaev again? Who has he beaten for anyone to say it was a great win for Vlad. It is about time Vlad actually fought instead of boring us to death.

ROFLMAO youre joking aintcha?? You gotta be.
The Greatest would PLAY with Wlad. It would be Terrell over again. Thats if Ali didnt collapse laughing at Wlad's dainty litttle footwork trying to back up every time he thinks he might get hit.
This has got to be the best joke of 2009:happy:happy:patsch

Ali got knocked downand beat up by Frazier. Frazier was 5 foot 11 inchs and weighted about 195. Ali was 6 foot 2 inchs and weighted about 225. Wlad 6 foot 6 245 with great footwork fast hands and tremendous power with the right and left hand.

I think this 2009 version of Wlad would give 70s Ali fits since his feet slowed down. The rope-a-dope wouldn't work with Wlad who wouldn't expend himself and would measure Ali with jabs and rights from distance while his back was on the ropes.

Wlad's movement and handspeed would definitely give Ali some problems. Ali could adapt very well though so I wouldn't be surprised to see him find a way to break Wlad's offensive flow and start scoring himself.

If Wlad could keep up his movement and not expend too much energy, he'd have a legit chance here. But Ali had so many intangilbles, you can never count him out.

I'd expect 60s Ali to win though.

Yes the facts are solid i'll give you that, but its what is being implied that i have a problem with.

So the argument is, because Ali lost to a man who was smaller, he will loose to a man who is bigger??

Maybe nothing was being implied and he was just stating random facts but wasn't saying anything else. If so i take it back and sorry.

Also, the sky is blue and seas are made of water.

I came to the conclusion after reading this nonsense that there is an extremely good chance you are either thick as **** or crying out for attention.

    Behave yourself :-(

I find the 70's to be a strange era.

A guy like Ali, for all his mobility and speed, loses to a swarmer like Joe Frazier. He proves that he has as solid a chin but ultimately loses a rather wide decision. Then two years later Frazier get demolished by Foreman in 2 rounds. So, either Frazier has no chin or Foreman is so powerful that he could knock out an elephant with a single swing, but either way you look at it the conclusion is that Ali floats and stings like a butterfly.
Between Frazier losing to Foreman and losing to Ali in a rematch he goes on to completely school, even knock down, Bugner. Ok, then Ali outboxes Frazier a year later..but not before a) beating up old man Paterson AGAIN, b) going 12 hard rounds with Bugnera and c) two VERY close fights with Ken Norton whom he could not KD. Foreman in the next fight KO's Norton in 2 rounds. This sets up the huge showdown in which Foreman is completely incapable of denting Ali and gets KO'ed himself in the mid-late rounds.
So, to recap, Frazier and Bugner KD's Ali but Foreman could barely touch him?
Ali couldn't really hurt Bugner yet Frazier knocked him down, and Ali couldn't come close to stopping Frazier (until Frazier was blind) yet Foreman could dispose of him and Norton nearly at will.
I don't even want to get into the other guys floating around that era like Shavers.

    Underrate them? Overrate them?
I don't know, but you look at the results when they fought each other and some of the competition they had in common ...you just gotta wonder how someone like Wlad would do if tossed into the mix.
