Morrison stopped Pinklon Thomas and Joe Hipp (Morrison had a broken hand against Hipp too), two men who were not easy to stop.

I can't wait for you to shift the goal posts again or to try and claim these two were easy to stop.

Thomas was totally shot and had been stopped 3x going into the fight and did nothing subsequently. So no I don't think stopping that version counts for much at all. Age drugs and brutal kayo losses had destroyed his punch resistance. I've never considered Hipp difficult to stop. Hipp was getting stopped by guys like Seldon and Purrity and largely didn't fight contenders.

Marsellos Brown went into the 3rd round with Morrison but was stopped quicker by Art Tucker and Bobby Crabtree
Terry Anderson went into the 7th with Morrison but was stopped quicker by Darnell Nicholson and Gerald Mitchell
Tim Tomashek made it into the 4th with Morrison but was taken out quicker by Seamus McDonagh

Over and over we see guys outperforming Morrison against common opponents none of whom are regarded as monster hitters. When's the last time anyone cited McDonagh or Nicholson as massive hitters

Morrison beat George by fighting off the backfoot. Is Mike going to fight off the backfoot?

Nope, and Mike never won a fight extensively going off the backfoot in his life.

Why do people keep bringing up George's loss to Foreman in this thread?

My bad. I meant George's loss to Tommy as in Morrison, not Hearns.

I don't think so, I think he will stand like Crawford Grimsley in front of George and exchange blows.

Yeah Crawford Grimsely and Mike Tyson are very similar fighters now that you mention it.

Foreman lost to Morrison who is like Tyson in many ways but not as good.

Then again a lot of fighters were intimidated by Tyson and I don’t think Foreman would be intimidated. In Teddy Atlas book I read that Foreman mind ****ed Moorer over his sunglasses. Foreman was psychologically strong.

I think it’s 50/50 but someone is going to get knocked out.

I don't think they were similar. Grimsley just stood there and fought. Tyson was harder to hit and he could hit more himself he was better than Grimsley who showed that you don't have to be a runner to be a tough opponent for George

Tyson and Morrison are literally nothing alike, not even their left hooks are similar

Foreman at his best, I think, walks through the best version of Tyson. I completely agree with Ali. Tyson lost when he faced elite names who didn't take a backwards step. Foreman had the power, size, chin, and presence. He would be a stylistic nightmare for him. Tyson looked ferocious taking out cannon fodder and light heavyweights; but Foreman was the real deal. It'd play out like the second Foreman vs Frazier fight.
