Alistair Overeem: M-1 Single-Handedly Destroyed Fedor’s Legacy

Strikeforce should just shut the **** up. M1-Global contributed far more money to bring us the Fedor v Rogers fight. Why doesnt Strikeforce just let Fedor have his revenge and then once thats done have him fight Overeem and then Barnett. Why does Strikeforce always need to have the choice in who Fedor fight.

UFC fighters like Brock and Carwin and Cain knows better than to fight the best of the best and are effectively fighting unproven fighters. If they truely want to prove themselves then they MUST fight the proven best of the best who are all in Strikeforce.

I agree. Fedor is potentially trying to fight a more dangerous fighter, since Werdum has shown to be able to beat Fedor whilst Overeem only (at this stage) has the potential to be able to beat Fedor.

So tell me who has the better record and who has faced the more worthy HW opponent IN MMA - Fedor or Overeem. If you answer Overeem then show me these top MMA fighters and tell me why they are better than the fighters that Fedor faced.

Also the world and Strikeforce isnt going to stop for Overeem. Strikeforce, M1 and Fedor already had Werdum penciled in to fight each other...before Overeem issued the challenge. Why should Overeem get priority over Werdum who has proven himself and earnt his spot when he fought Silva.

After Fedor v Werdum fight both fighters wanted to fight each other. Werdums camp has stated that the injury isnt serious and should be able to fight again before years end. Fedor and M1 pushed for this fight. Strikeforce baulked and wanted Fedor to fight Overeem.

Werdum decided to hold out for more money since he wasnt contracted for an immediate rematch (unlike Fedor). Werdums team decided to do the surgery.

Fedor and M1 after hearing of the surgery opted to fight with Overeem instead but by this time Overeem has already decided to fight in K1 (contrary to his previous statement that he would concentrate on MMA).

Strikeforce has left a very bad tatse in my mouth....why couldnt they just let two fighters fight when those two fighters obviously wanted to fight each other? Overeem has also left a very bad taste (as much as Im an Overeem fan), lying and back tracking on his promise to concentrate on MMA.

 

Morono strikes again. So now you are saying that the UFC HW division is full of inexperienced Heavyweights. Which is a fair point. But then you are saying that Fedor should fight Werdum (who was cut from this inexperienced UFC HW division. Who lost to the inexperienced JDS I seem to remember) instead of Overeem, because Overeem is inexperianced as heavyweight?The only thing leaving a bad taste in your mouth is licking Bloodstain Lanes ass and copying his blogs in your posts.I pity you

 

The experienced ones are clearly way past their prime i.e. Nog, CroCop

The so called new breeds are pretty inexperienced i.e. Brock, Carwin, and Cain.

The only worthy one IMO is JDS and BTW Werdum was never cut from the UFC.
