Im fully aware of that. But you cannot level baseless claims at anyone just for the sake of it. Holy was claimed to be on roids because of his muscular build and the fact that he worked with Haney. Holyfield is one of the hardest working guys in the sport. Now your saying he's on EPO based on what? The vast majority of boxers and users in fighting sports are on mass building steroids because they help with recuperation. Its very rare to see blood doping in MMA or boxing.

You can level the accusation at anyone. Bottom line is because its so prevalent most of the claims are simply baseless. Guys dont use them just for performance they use them for rehab. And if you want to find out what those drugs do, google around or go on Bodybuilding.com forum its full up with gear heads who'll swap there favourite stacks with you.

Maybe he only started late in his career, and at that point who can blame him, but it is beyond all sensible doubt that Holyfield has used steroids and HGH.

Hormone use is rife in fighting sports. BUT accusations are just that. There baseless until proven empiracally. That idiot from Balco Victor Conte did the same and tried to bring everyone down with him accusing the world and its wife of using his illegal supplements when he was indicted. If there was a good enough accusation to level at Holyfield that he was on illegal drugs then im sure the Fed would be investigating him. Il take SI articles with a huge pinch of salt.
They went after, and succesfully prosecuted the pharmacy, which was the goal. Investigations like this almost never go after clients, only if they lie to federal investigators or congress. They were never looking to prosecute Evander, because what he did wasn't much of a crime; what the phamacy did was. They could have easily got Evander, but it would have been a huge waste of time. Believe me, there is absolutely no doubt that Holyfield had test and HGH delivered to his house.
I do believe Evander went on some form of gear, but I think he did it later in his career. I think he was on something around the time he fought Chris Byrd. I have seen Evander in the ring with smaller opponents, but never saw him try to use his strength against those smaller opponents like he did that night.
