Great fight, and like I said before... even as a Khan fan, I'm really happy for Lamont. He fought a great, inspirational fight.

Khan wins a rematch ala Pac-Morales/Leonard-Duran in my opinion, but Lamont was just transcendent tonight. He would not be denied.

If anyone deserved to beat Khan it was him, I look forward to part 2 ;)

i've been saying this for the longest time to beat khan you need constant pressure and infighting skills which maidana and the others lacked.

but i still had him winning by 1 point.

As a Khan fan, I too am delighted for Lamont. Couldn't have happened for a nicer person. Well done, champ!

Yup, and contrary to what a lot of people here will no doubt start thinking, both guys stock has gone up after this. They both showed grit, heart and championship qualities.

Lamont is a great person and a credit to boxing, he fought out of his skin tonight.

Lamont fought a great fight and I agree it couldnt have happened for a nicer guy. Very close fight and im happy for him.

Funnily enough Khans chin turned out to be one of his best attributes tonight, he was eating silly shots on the inside, dunno what the **** he was doing just standing there covering up. Lamonts early work to the body made all the difference I think. Great fight, ref was **** but whatever thats boxing.

Khan didn't fight with a fightplan, but that being said Khan should have won that fight. The ref. was ridiculous. One thing I wonder about is why Khan fights so sloppy. He has such beautiful handspeed, but he has not real game plan. He could use his jab more and counterpunch, but he goes in and swing and when he misses with the right he does pitty pat punches until the ref comes and separates. When on the ropes he does the tucking his gloves to his head and covers up and is hit with bodypunches and right hooks and uppercuts. What exactly is Roach doing for him? I still think he won that fight.

Khan is overrated, he's been shoving and pushing for years and getting away with it, his chickens came home to roost tonight, and a more deserving winner there couldn't have been.

Though I'm disgusted by the ref job tonight, it's impossible not to feel great for Peterson. He's a prime example of what's right with the sport and what boxing is all about, and I have no doubt he'll do the right thing and give Khan, and the fans, a rematch.

    Congrats to Lamont!

I also have no doubt that Khan will come back from this. He's mentally strong and has great self belief, a close fight that could have gone either way will not deter him from aiming for greatness.

I always thought that when he did finally lose again I would be somewhat upset, following him closely since his move to Roach... but I can't help but feel happy for Lamont, he's been through so much and to finally come out on top like this is nothing short of inspirational.

Lamont is all class. A great fighter with great skills and top-notch moxie. Who goes around and does a 180 on the basis of your normal style and fights the fight of his life like that? The kids not only got craft, skill, and heart, but he's clearly a smart fighter. New fan of him.

Huge respect & congrats to Lamont. A champion out of the ring & now in the ring. Sadly, for Khan I don't think he's bright enough to learn from this, either from a personal standpoint or from a technical one. Keep Ariza but ditch Roach but then who?
