Not a Khan hater. But why do you care so much if people disagree with him fighting Katsidis on a quick turnaround. I get it, it's a marketable tune-up fight. I can live with that. However, always remember there are people who view the sport as just that...sport. More sport than business. It's going to be a one-sided slaughter, I think everyone thinks that...and that's why some of Khan's detractors have a problem with it...a lot of his detractors think he's been paired with fighters who had no prayer against him for a while now (I don't fall into that group, because I thought Paulie had a fair chance going into the fight). But it's an easy, stay busy, tune-up fight that can net money, and probably is the best choice under the circumstances. Anyways, everybody is entitled to their own opinion, so who cares if they disagree with you?
Could Maidana have bought the exposure that Khan got for his US DEBUT? Who actually knows Maidana apart from hardcore fans? It would mean nothing and nothing in a business sense. High risk, low reward.. Maidana is virtually unknown and made **** sense and to be honest, business sense it still does.
Which is why Maidana's manager told him not to make a fight with Khan yet and why Maidana abided by that advice.
Yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but when they say he's not sticking to his word about fight Maidana and the top 140 pounders when he clearly just stated he is, is just stupid. Common sense comes into it. When I rewrite the same thing to people I never get a reply so I might aswell make a thread on it.
Once and if Khan he steps up he's going By By if you really think he is great your dreaming he will never ever "unifie" the belts like he's dreaming. I do not dislike khan he's fun to watch but he is far far from being great, he has 0 power and you can tell he's afraid of being hit.
If he rematches prescott and wins then he shuts the critic up in me. Katsidis I see as a mismatch, Katsidis is small and very easy to hit, Khan will pick him off all night. Prescott rematch at o2, ill be there.
Kahn won't be around too long ,fighters that can punch will Knock him out ,thats all you have to do is think KO and you got him ....Once a fighter get Ko once it happens 2 to 4 more times in his career.
