100% Agreed:good. Hopefully this is the start of a big push for Olympic-standard testing across all of boxing. Hopefully the BBBofC and the EBU follow suit.
The British board have only recently adopted three judges for British title eliminators. Don't expect too much
Joking apart, what is Pacquiao going to do if all the top promoting bodies follow Sauerland Promotions lead and demand random drug tests for all their fights, hows he going to get all the top fights?
There has been random drug testing in boxing before this, but it's been occasional. It still is if only some promoters are doing it, hopefully the boxing organisations will bring make it mandatory for any sanctioned fights
by they way this was also on place previously, notably for the Haye fight. Haye will of done random blood and urine tests before Valuev.
Not necessarily. The fight doesn't take place in Germany and isn't broadcasted by ARD. I suppose (and hope) that a regional subsidiary of ARD, named MDR, will televise the fight in the following morning though.
