taylor is a GREAT addition. i remember speaking with someone on the forum and we came to the conclusion that taylor was so concerned about winning the fight, he never bothered to win rounds. in big fights, like ouma as you noted, he made constantly massive errors. against kassim and spinks notably he had the physical tools to destroy them but ouma extended him the distance and spinks nearly beat him. he wasted his strength and speed and never had any solid strategy going into a fight, while still ignoring his corner throughout.

true, i don't think jones applies here. admittedly, he had FAR more talent than ring iq but he was crafty when he needed to be. rather than risk it all in the ring, he did just enough to look good and dominate opponents that were not fit to lace his boots. a stupid fighter would have gone for the knockouts and flashy wins; jones didn't always do that.

I liked Taylor; he reminded me of Dragonball Z characters.

And lets not forget the Basketball/Boxing double, that sees him have the ugly struggle with Lucas...

For a man who found out first hand the benefits of being robbed blind (in the 88 Olympics), Jones should of realised he really had little to lose fighting in Germany or Britain.

The man clearly lacked something, and it was not talent....

    Calling Virgil...

Germany rightly gets grief, but everyone else is just as bad. We (Britain) robbed many blind, and we also think when our fighters go to the States or Continental Europe, they need a KO to draw...

Andrew Golota. The guy had strength, length, speed in his jab, a variety of punches and power.

other than the bowe fights, any fight stand out where he had the ability to win but his shitty fighting brain let him down?
