your excuses are pathetic. Herol Graham is very overrated by some like you. He was a nearly man! if/but/could've/should've/would've/maybe = all bull****. He just simply wasn't good enough!
He arguably beat McCallum and Kalambay, and had to wait nearly 10 years for a title shot because he was so avoided. He was Hagler's mandatory in '86 and officially ducked.
Hagler facing Graham in 1986 made no financial sense to Marvin whatsoever, especially as he was so close to retirement.
Ask yourself what Eubank would have done in that situation? Face a mandatory in a fight that would not sell diddly squat or take on Mugabi for probably 10 times the purse.?
Eubank never ducked his mandatory challenger, and says he never would have done. When Tim Littles was mandated, Eubank took the fight (Littles pulled out injured and Thornton then was made mandatory). Littles was alongside McClellan and Jones Jr as a prospect. He didn't give up the title to face Benn for more money, as Hagler did with Leonard to evade Graham.
Had Graham ever got in there with Marvin he would have got it worse than what Julian Jackson gave him.
No he's from the Republic, County Monaghan, but to be fair did get British citizenship (just so he could compete for British titles) and fought for Northern Ireland in the commonwealth games. Was also a very big peace figure in Northern Ireland during bad times and was equally supported by both sides of the community. So I can see where you'd have got that idea from
Laughable. Hagler not near as fast as Jackson at that point with delivery, and never a one-punch knockout guy!
