Why the **** is it, infact the BBC should take a investigation into the Pro Boxing scene, cause a story of corruption would not be hard to find. All this proves is what we all knew, fact it happens at that level says it all. P.S who **** pays 10 million for 2 gold medalsatschatsch
The United Kingdom has put a small fortune into its boxing programme to get better results. In fact a lot more than £10 Million. The reality is Azerbaijan was just being smarter... A tongue cheek statement yes, but it does prove than money wins medals in the Olympics. Those Countries that invest, get the results. That is sport, the is no point getting on your high horse about it. After all we get our jollies watching two men trying to cause potentially permanent brain damage to each other, in an attempt to knock each other out!
I think its funny that Korea had the world championships and then all of a sudden they were given to Azerbaijan !!!
Azerbaijan are one of those strange little countries that take international competition VERY seriously. This is the same country that arrested and interrogated people who voted for Armenia in the ****ing Eurovision Song Contest, they're mentalists.
We have so much money in football, the tens of millions were nothing really. If we really wanted the World Cup, we would of just turned around and said to FIFA give it to us, or we pull out the organization and set up a rival. The amount of money in the sport in this country would of led to a darts situation, with us being the PDC (particularly if we got Spain and Germany on side), and FIFA would of become the joke organization that although the original and with the terrestrial TV coverage, they would have had a load of players no one had heard of. And any stars they created would end up going to the richer organization.
Do you know what, some of the totally crazy amount of dubious scoring that has been done in fights this year just makes you think that boxing is possibly rife with all this kinda ****. Rich fat promoters getting richer and fatter by placing a neat pack of cash in the right hands. Of course none of these clowns ever get investigated but I swear boxing is as corrupt as **** these days! I think they are all in on it, refs, judges, promoters. We are the ones that get cheated, and the fighters of course.
I'll go all Sun Newspaper here and say "Another Black Eye For Boxing", our sport is corrupt to the core. Pisses me off...
