Alphonso Gomez vs Miguel Cotto

My pick will be Cotto
Gomez certainly likes to come forward all the time in the fights that I have seen but I believe that his inexperience will be his downfall. Oh and one more thing Gomez is 1-1-1 against Jesse Feliciano who is tough but he can't punch like Cotto. Gomez hasn't fought anyone with Miguel's power and Alfonso himself doesn't carry too much power in his punches.

Not to disrespect Alfonso but I don't see him winning this fight, though it is clear he has a lot of heart.

 

Gomez Has A Decent Work Rate And A Big Heart But The Cotto He's Faceing Is A More Rounded Fighter That Packs Alot Of Power.
Gomez Will Give His All But I Think He Will Come Up Short.

just a tune up fight for Cotto, but he shouldnt underestimate his opponent , because sometimes this boxers come to the ring with a lot a hunger and with nothing to lose mentality.

I like Gomez. He's the most exciting guy to come out of the Contender & the Biggest Cajones of them all. His resume is short on experience but he fought stiff competitions & bigger guys.

I give Gomez a Chance to give us a Great competive fight against Cotto. It could be FOTY kinda fight. With the decision going to Cotto in a close & maybe controversial way. Remember Gomez fought & have some wins against bigger guys 160 & up, He's a tough guy, I guarantee Cotto can't KO him.

I'm with you for me Cotto will have a UD win or a very late stopage Gomez look like a guy with a really good chin, and had a lot of heart those combination make a fighter really hard to stop., the only way i see Cotto stopping this guy is by body punching or punishing beatdown but with Gomez not being hurt. Gomez is bigger and maybe had the same streng than Cotto. But still Cotto by UD or very late stoppage.
