    I think you're using the wrong term. "From the guard position, the rear hand is thrown from the chin, crossing the body and travelling towards the target in a straight line. " Left cross would be a punch thrown from the south paw position. alvarez doesn't turn south paw in the fight.

    Yes, probably you are right, I mean a left hook. A punch with your left hand drawing a circle from left to right.

    Sorry, my english... you know... it's not very good :S. I thought cross and hook meant the same more or less.

    Fair enough . I just don't think much of Alvarez to be honest I just think he got lucky what's gonna happen if he loses to Kovalev today then loses to bivol and Gvodyk ???? Again this is just speculation. Don't get butthurt Alvarez fans. In my opinion. My view. If he loses to Kovalev tonight then to bivol and Gvozdyk I'll just think he got lucky simple as that. That is somehow if Alvarez wins tonight I'll believe he is legit

    Alvarez is fast, strong looks big and is tough. He's 1st or 2nd lhw of the world with gvozdyk. Kovalev beats him and he goes back to 1st or 2nd.

    Honestly, I cant think about any universe where álvarez can win to bivol.

    He can win to kovalev because of kovalev's shitty stamina. But no way he can win to bivol. At least in my humble opinion.

    I don't think Kovalev can beat Bivol either Kovalev is getting older and on the decline even if he had a bad night. I pick Kovalev to win and it to be a big win.
    Dance 84 thinks alvarez isn't very good but still thinks it should be regarded as a big win which makes little sense. I think he wants Kovalev to win.. but you shouldn't get credit for beating someone you feel is way below you.

    Put it this way. I think Kovalev is shot. The top 3 light heavyweights Gvozdyk Bivol and beterbiev. I think they beat Alvarez. I think a shot Kovalev beats Alvarez . That's why I don't think Alvarez belongs up there with the top 3 guys ( beterbiev, Gvozdyk,bivol). Because I think a shot Kovalev beats him tonight. However if Alvarez beats Kovalev like knocks out Kovalev like last time I'll believe he's legit.

    @Dance84

    this is what I think if Kovalev wins his back at top. not the "just another win Kovalev still outside the top"

    Whether Kovalev wins this fight or not I don't think he can compete with the other top 3 guys

    If he continues (I hope not with the new trainer) to bombard Alvarez' block with power punches, he will get exhausted and stopped again...

    He def wasnt in the best of shape, was blowing early, needs to learn to put the ego aside and take an 8 count when he gets dropped instead of jumping up to soon to show hes not hurt, that alone is what got him stopped, not giving himself the time to clear his head, the greats know how to use the counts to their advantage. I still think kovalev stops him or at least wins the fight.

    Kovalev's chin is not the greatest and his heart is truly weak. If Kovalev don't get lucky he will lose again and probably by knockout.
