Cotto gets a beatdown... Not sure why so many people think he's back because he seized the opportunity and beat a completely shot Martinez. If he faces any decent JMW, or MW he loses.
I honestly truly believe Cotta wants nothing to do with Canelo. This fight could have been made before Cotto vs Martinez. Cotto doesn't want to face a younger, stronger, faster beast, and I don't blame him. This fight isn't going to happen because Cotto doesn't want it.
Lost to Margacheato, after being hit with plastered hands round after round...so for sure Cotto sucks....lost to Paquiao, so for sure he socks, lost to PBF and by PBF owns admission ...his toughest opponent, so for sure Cotto sucks, lost to a bad stylistic match up against Trout , 25-0 opponent, so for sure Cotto suck, beat a old in crutches defenseless, past his prime, blind, senile Maravilla, so for sure Cotto sucks.... Canelo is the best ever, and all of you guys are experts.... The truth is stylistically , Canelo is the perfect opponent for Cotto, he will be hit regularly by arguably the most powerful jab in the business, Cotto"s ferrous left hook to the body will find the mark often and will be felt by Canelo...Canelo's Stamina and chin will be tested... Not Cotto, Cotto has been tested again and again by the best...the very best!! And Canelo IS NOT ON THAT LEVEL OR WILL BE, Canelo reminded me of Fernando Vargas when he fought Tito, the entire world of ESB posted post after post that Vargas was going to posterized Tito, .....yet we all know who got posterized and wasnot the same after that fight.... I see this fight with Canelo going exactly the same way! Be careful what you witch for...you might get it!!!
Their style creats war! Cotto under Roach has him fighing like the old Cotto. I think someone will get stopped in this fight. Neither fighters will run. It can go either way, but i do favor the young Canelo at this point.
Good post. This is also exactly how I feel about it. I feel Roach has Cotto better and more efficient than ever, so the fight will be close and tough. I do not know who has more single-shot power, but I think Canelo- being younger- will throw more overall power throughout the fight. If I HAD TO bet, it would be on Canelo, but he will get rocked by Cotto along the way.
when was the last time canelo faced someone who can box and punch and puts presure??? last 4 opponents trout- pillow fist floyd- pillow fist angulo- slow and limited lara- fought like a scared trackstar canelo has not fought anything like cotto under roach
Who has Cotto beat at 154+ that is anything comparable to beating Trout, Lara, and Angulo? Please don't say Delvin Rodriguez, a one eyed Margarito, or a shot and damaged Martinez. Btw, Cotto was owned by Trout.
