I think Cotto will test Canelo physically like no one else has, but I got to take Canelo in this one. I PRAY this fight happens. They are so close in size it's almost dead even.

Cotto trainee by roach beats canelo, cotto will jab his face all night and set his punches up while canelo looks to just swing and throw bombs and come forward, cotto will cut that ring off and dance around canelo and cotto will have the superior body punch

You must have forgot how Cotto unleashed a few well times low blows to give himself time to recover, while the ref gave absolutely no care to the blatant breaking of the rules.

Cotto did the same thing to Judah, but I think he would beat the limited Alvarez if he fights a tactical fight.

I bet most of these Cotto bandwagon jumpers will give Canelo very little credit if he beats Cotto, KTFO or close UD.

Dumbest post of the day. Bandwagon? Most of his fans have been fans for years, when idiots like you dogged him before he won titles.

Cotto has haters like you because he's a massive success and people can't deal with how good he ended up.

The ***** Isal is back YAY!!!!! And as always he cant get Ricans out of his bitchass mouth....Welcome back *****...........

I can't wait for this fight to get finalized and come true. This is going to be one for the ages, trust me. Both fighters are tailor made for each other. I can see Cotto winning this one though, I dont think Canelo is battle proven. Fighting cab drivers and tomatoe cans in Mexico doesnt count.

After seen the way Cotto looked againts Martinez (say what you want about Martinez), IMHO he has a pretty good chance at beating Canelo.....

I have to say this, ever since that c o c k sucker PBF and his crew brought the PED word into the boxing you have all these people saying, cotto on jiuce, pac is on juice, so and so is on juice..Its ****ed up that all these guys' careers are getting diminished because of some comments made with out any proof....****ed up......

Moronic reply of the day ^. Fans for years?

What does being a fan for years have to do with people jumping on the bandwagon after Cotto destroys a shot Martinez who had already lost to Murray in his previous bout??

No one is saying that he doesn't have fans, just simply stating the truth. Before he fought and destroyed a shot Martinez, people, including fans were accepting that Cotto's best days were behind him as his last few fights included being destroyed by Margarito, having a hard time with a shot Mayorga, having a hard time against Clottey, having a hard time with a shot Margarito, getting KTFO by Pacquiao, losing to Mayweather, getting embarrassed by Austin Trout...

...Then all of a sudden he beats a ONE NAME FIGHTER in a SHOT Sergio Martinez and he's supposed to be a resurected version of what he was SIX YEARS ago??! Before all those fights??
    :nono

Do you even ****ing realize that the only fights he has looked decent or good in in the last six years have been against journey men and a shot fighter??! That's right only against the Yory Foreman's, the Michael jennings, and the Delvin Rodriguez'...Pretty impressive eh? Let's throw in a shot Martinez for good measure. Pretty whack ass resume in the last 6 years.

    Like I said, BANDWAGON jumpers.

    I see you're still a bitter person...

This fight defitnitley has the potential to be one for the ages, I can agree with you there. I can also agree that their styles will compliment each other.

However, I feel that Canelo has the clear edge in this fight. Canelo is naturally bigger and stronger than Cotto, and I'm not talking height, Canelo is built like a tank, always has been. He is also more explosive with his combos and as fluid with them as Miguel Cotto. Another thing I see in Canelos favor is his youth. While Cotto has been in some wars and in some beatdowns, Canelo is fresh physically and psychologically. I would also throw in that Canelo has shown us he has improved with his stamina, where as Cotto is known to still gas after rd 8.

The only things I see in Cotto's favor is exprience.

This makes no sense. It's female soap opera BS. IF this was Cotto's style, WHY did he NOT hit Manny, Plaster Margarito or Ricardo Torres low?

    Crickets...

Zab is a btch in the ring and always crying to the ref when he knows he can't win a fight. He tries to win on point deductions. Ask Mike Tyson how he took low blows from guys like Ruddock without rolling around on the floor like a Vargas... Fck outta here with that gossip shyt in a man's sport.

i'm with canelo on this one
cotto is a 'gatekeeper to the stars' type fighter who cashed in on a faded and broken Martinez
made me cringe BIG TIME when some posters on here started talking about cotto as an ATG after beating Martinez....give me a break!
