Boxing fans are a strange bunch. We like to ignore facts a lot of the time when it suits the argument. But fans of other sports seem to understand when intangibles come in to play. Not just fans of a particular team, but even fans of the opposing team acknowledge that certain things played out in their favor to get the win. This is especially apparent when an unseeded team or wild card team gets the win over the ranked or favorite team.

Boxing is different. There seems to be no "Any Given Sunday" when it comes to boxing. If a guy loses, it is because they just suck.

 

I find that folks create their own system when judging fighters and fights thus developing a church of followers practicing a boxing dogma founded by fighters of the same style, skin color, ethnicity etc etc.... we all know how fickle boxing fans are....some of the opinions you see on here make you wonder if these same vocal dudes would step in the ring with the fighters they chose to call "cowards"
