Kell Brook has an absolutely pathetic resume for a world champion fighting in such a stacked division. Pathetic.

    :yep

Team Khan have been in "Protect at all costs" mode ever since Khan dipped his toe into the 147 division.

It's a joke and I ****ing pray their attempt to secure the Mayweather fight whilst circumventing all credible opposition backfires spectacularly.

    *Their

And I mentioned nothing about who he approached or got turned down by. I'm saying he has a sh!t resume, in a very not sh!t division.

One could say the same about GGG though, couldn't they?

Of course, I am not comparing Kell to GGG (who is undoubtedly the best in his division) but my point is, if fighters are unable/unwilling to fight a certain fighter then that fighter's resume may not be as good as it should be.. and it would not be entirely that fighters fault.

I say in light of the current fragmented nature of the WW belts following Floyd's abdication, let's give Kell, Thurman and co twelve months. By that time we will see who really is willing to fight the best (and we will hopefully find out who is the best at 147) and who is a paper champion.

I think welterweight is way more stacked than middleweight, although I get your point. But I think the manner in which these things are handled have a bearing too. Not too long ago Brook and his team made a big deal about a huge fight they had planned and a massive step up.... that turned out to be Senchenko.

Nobody is ducking Kell Brook. Some are just aiming higher just like Kell is. The difference is the other guys have already fought multiple names better than any on Kell's resume.

There isn't hype for him. Just a few fans on this site.

    Well Khan ducked him.

Given that Fast Eddie is Kell's promoter, your point may prove to be extremely valid in a year or so. But as a long-time Kell Brook fan (im sure you have better things to do than check my post history, but if you did you'd see that I've been a fan of Kell's for years... even after he beat my pal, Mick Jennings) I have faith that big fights involving Kell will be made.

As I mentioned in a previous post in this thread, due to the fragmented nature of the 147 division following Floyd's abdication, boxing politics may well keep the best from fighting each other (which is something I detest, as all serious fans do) so I will give Kell the benefit of the doubt at present and consider his resume in a years time.

I will also afford this courtesy to Thurman (Bradley is excused because he has already fought some of the very elite of the division).

If any world class WW deserves criticism, it is undoubtedly Khan. His WW resume is beyond pathetic.. And a win over Algieri proves absolutely nothing.

Maidana has never been offered the Brook fight and why would he as he isn't training, he isn't a realistic option, maybe later on though.

You are right on Khan though, he ducked him for sure.

The train will come to a crashing halt soon enough. Too many good fighters at WW and eventually Brook will be facing them.

That's a better win than pretty much anyone in WW except for Floyd/Pac. Kind of like Wilder's Stiverne win is better than any single Fury win.

    Maidana is in that mix.
