It's good to see both guys training hard like it's biggest fight of their lives. They may be older, but there's never been this much pride on the line for either guy. Maybe that's why I'm looking to this fight. I love a good rivalry.
This will go 12 rnds. Neither guy will take the risk of getting KOed so it will be 12 rnds of posturing
Tbh, I watched the video and brooks is not scary AT ALL. He looks even a little bit.... feminine??? weird. Not scary, sorry. And probably he will pull the win, eh! I'm not saying otherwise. I'm only saying that this video is anything but scary.
I don't think OP's clip is much of an insight to Kell's camp. Having just watched the pair of Behind the Ropes episodes, looking at the footage from both set-ups, it strikes me that McIntyre might be doing for Khan what Mayweather Sr. did for Hatton, i.e. taking a fighter who is long in the tooth and trying to remodel him as something he isn't, slowing him down and making him work against his strengths. What he's doing with Khan may be too much for him to absorb in one camp, and especially at this inactive stage of his career. Wouldn't surprise me if we see a Khan looking caught in-between styles on the night, who then reverts to type at the first sign of alarm. Meanwhile, Brook looks to be sharp and concentrated in his element, with plenty of specific strategic focus on Khan and how to use their established strengths to deal with his attributes and style. And I'm not sure that being the tool of Bomac's braggadocio will do Amir any favors — the guy can freely indulge his ego with a talent like Crawford at his disposal making him look like an oracle, but Khan is just a gig to him, a fighter near the end who isn't nearly as equipped to back up the coach's talk as Bud is.
Should be intetesting. Brook is the naturally bigger man but he appears more punchy than Khan. Brooks eye sockets are also a liability. Therefore I feel the fight is pretty even and the one who can better take the others best punch will win.
Spot on. Especially agree with the first bit. They can't be teaching him technical elements of boxing at this stage, they need to just get him in the best shape they can and let him go. Definitely shades of Hatton/Mayweather. If Khan is going to try and pick his shots and be patient it's going to end badly for him.
I fancy Brook to catch up with Amir and stop him in the later rounds, 7-10. Wouldnt be surprised if it was sooner though.
