AMIR KHAN 'PETERSON CAN'T FIGHT BETTER THAN HE DID'

Amir Khan (26-2, 18 KO’s) gets his chance to try and regain his lost IBF and WBA light welterweight titles against champion Lamont Peterson (30-1-1, 15 KO’s) on May 19th at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Khan, 25, thinks he can fight better than he did last December in his loss to Peterson in Washington, DC. Khan doesn’t think Peterson can improve his game, though, and he sees having the fight in a neutral venue with neutral judges and referee as being the tipping point for him in getting a victory.

Khan said to thesun.co.uk “Peterson can’t fight better than he did. I can and that is all that matters.”

“The reality is that it was the judging and the referee who hurt me on the night…he [Peterson] will have to pay for it.”

Wow Peterson stopped throwing jabs after the 6th round while still landing a healthy percentage of power body punches. Khan has no answers on how to keep Lamont off his ribcage.

 

Freddie says Khan will not go to the ropes but instead stay in the middle of the ring. But this doesn't tell Khan anything on how to respond when being pressurised. Khan has no boxing brain of his own and Freddie is to out of it. They never gave Roger 5x trainer of they year and his fighter is undefeated. Khan seems to have lost his reflexes he had back when he started his pro career. He can't fight on the inside and has always assorted to pushing and head grabbing.

I don't like Khan saying stolen a number of times. Numbers show that he was outpowered by a guy who has 15 KO's on his record. Peterson will win imo if, Golden Boy politics aren't involved.
