Horrible performance from Khan. Worst he ever looked. Definetly needs to retire. Congratulations Kell Brook, complete domination!
He's not the only one who thought that. Khan would have given Floyd all kinds of problems. Floyd was fading and about to retire, Khan was pretty much at his peak when the fight was talked about. Floyd clearly wanted no part of Khan, he wanted an easier fight in Berto. Khan at his best is a stylistic nightmare for anyone. Look what he did to Maidana Judah and to Canelo before getting sparked out. (also to Lamont Peterson despite not getting that decision, a great performance, most thought he was robbed) Khan was a great fighter but after seeing him get dominated by Brook, it's clear he's shot at this point. Khan didn't look right when he was walking into the ring. Something was seriously wrong with him.
Khan was not a great fighter. A good fighter yes but not great. His relatively low ring IQ and weak chin are fatal flaws against a skilled, fast, sharp shooting ring general like Floyd. For years people went on about Pacquiao speed of feet and hands and power and you saw what Floyd did to him. The truth is Brook was always the better rounded fighter and what happened was no surprise to me and would always have happened. A similar fighter to Khan is Zavala Judah similarly has all the physical tools but lacks ring intelligence and IQ. Another interesting fact about Brook is that everybody he has been in there with he gave problems even those that stopped Lil G, my boy EJ and Bud. Yesterday helped to amplify Brook’s true standing as he was the best Welterweight in the world until he got ravaged by my boy EJ in a great fight. Apart from Canelo and maybe Danny Jacobs I felt he gave Lil G his toughest fight winning the early rounds and bloodying him up until the eye damage stoppage.
He wasn't even a good fighter. Khan was an average fighter. Danny Garcia was/is a very good but not great fighter and he destroyed Khan.
Danny Garcia was a great fighter. 33-0 before losing to Thurman in a battle of unbeatens by Split Decision. Khan never saw that punch coming. Not gonna call it a lucky punch, because there is no such thing, but Khan was doing his thing on Danny before that happened. Khan is chinny and had a suspect chin, but was way better than average. Average fighters don't beat guys like Maidana, Judah, etc.
Prime Khan was a handful you can't go of the performance last night. Also Floyd didn't have the power later on to ko Khan. Please don't make me have to expaln what a false equivalence is you numpty. So get Floyd's knob out of your mouth it's disgusting....
Disagree about Khan being good or great, but I agree with a lot of what you said here. Brook definitely did give a spirited effort against GGG but the weight disparity was too much for Brook. There was a less of a weight disparity between Khan and Canelo because Canelo agreed to come down to 155 to make it more fair for Khan. Also Brook had a pre-existing injury before he fought GGG, because he revealed in an interview with Prince Naseem during fight week for GGG that he had been receiving hyperbaric oxygen therapy heading into GGG. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is an excellent treatment, but it does make your bones more brittle particularly in the days right after you get it and I think that contributed to Kell's eye socket injury and lessened his punch resistance. But to your points, people went on about Pacquiao speed of feet and hands and power and look what Floyd did to him. Yeah Floyd weakened him with needles and Pac came into that match with an injury to his shoulder. That was pretty much the worst version of Pac-Man ever. Floyd only fights top fighters like Canelo and Pac when they are at their weakest. That's the only way Floyd beats people. Floyd beat DLH who was well past his prime. Look what happened when Floyd took on Maidana after getting beat up by Canelo, Floyd struggled and almost lost. Maidana, the guy who Khan beat. Prime for Prime, I would take Mayweather over Khan, but in 2015 when the fight was talked about, it wasn't Prime Mayweather anymore. That was faded, about to retire Mayweather vs Prime Khan. Prime Khan gives faded, about to retire Mayweather all kinds of problems. I would agree that Brook has a higher ring IQ than Khan and is the more "well rounded" fighter. Brook was more ecnomical as a fighter. Khan was always more explosive, had faster hands at his peak, and was a higher volume puncher. Also Khan was a far more accurate puncher throughout his career. Khan at his peak was more stylistically difficult, Kell was easier to deal with as he's more basic, but also less flawed.
I switched off when you started telling lies and BS about Floyd. Not going to indulge such rubbish. Losers make excuses!!!
