Back on topic , i think its a great point that Prescott is singing from the rooftops about how much he cant beleive Khan not wanting to rematch him and avenge his only loss , but he has multiple losses to B level fighters and we havent heard anything from his ass wanting to rematch them .

That said im more interested in watching Khan obliterate Prescott than i am seeing him slowly break down the less talented McCloskey , i must be the only one who wants to see Khan Katsidis , i think its a great fight !!!!

Because of the big win he has over Khan, Prescott would have the inside track on getting a title shot if he was 1 in a list of viable contenders being discussed but, as far as I'm concerned, his form over the last couple of years means he doesn't deserve to be on that list.

I don't post as much on the british forum, but it is far better for domestic level debates.

Now anyone seeing my posts on here might mistake me for a khan hater because I think he is making a mistake by not fighting prescot.

I most certainly am not, I quite like amir atm and whilst I don't quite understand why he won't fight prescot, I do not think he is scared at all.

That interview is actually all the more puzzling, he avenged every amateur defeat which is am amazing accomplishment, I would have thought whilst he has the opportunity he would grab it with both hands.

Again, whilst I think prescot beats khan, I want khan to win. I want him to avenge that loss whilst at the same weight.

In terms of legacy, this sole victory won't do much, but it is just as valid as one over paul.

Plus being able to retire having beaten everyone he ever faced is very good.

Amir fears prescot is not a credible opponent, I don't believe he would receive a public backlash for the fight. I think it would sell more than one against paul.

Whoever he fights, i'll be there live. But I still maintain this would be the second duck of his career.

    McCloskey less talented than Prescott?

I'd love to see a Katsidis fight, too. I think he's a nightmare style for Khan, and he'll pose more problems than Prescott would.

Probably Thaxton..... I think it was a fight that neither he nor Warren fancied at the time. Jon was on a really good run and was British champion.

There was a short window for that one to happen, between Khan fighting that **** house Kristansen and Thaxton starting to slide, when he was hammered by Romanov.

Not gonna get on Khan's case for this one too much.

Khan vs Katsidis would be a great fight I agree.

Thaxton. There was a time when he was the british champ whilst khan was commonwealth champ. He was also euro champ at one point.

Khan ducked him and fought that european guy beginning with k.

Murray took on the challenge eventually whilst khan went in a different direction.

It was a duck. I don't use duck as in cowardice, but he ducked the challenge.

TBF, Thaxton was offered a career high purse for the fight by Warren and declined it.

    That's the one, kristansen.

Meaningless fight that was. Anyone following his career wanted the fight with jonno i'm sure. Murray was still a prospect back then so not as many qualms with that not being made.

But the thaxton fight should have. Problem was, khan was getting dropped pretty much every fight so the didn't wanna risk him with a proven puncher.

Thaxton had blown his load long before he fought Murray. He lost to Mezaache who is terrible, then the very average Glover.....

    Good point, forgot about that.

Hennessy was talking big about trying to get Jon a world title fight and they let the opportunity pass.

thaxton looked **** even before romanov hammered him, i think meager gave him hell for 12 rounds and then there was this scottish fighter called dave stewart who was english level and he really gave thaxton massive problems, as did lawton if i remember correctly before the cut he was beating jon, thaxtons will been known as a fighter who showed grit against ricky hatton 1 decade ago, thats the story of his boxing career, i really wouldnt look too much into khan ducking thaxton, thaxton was very beatable and on his night was around euro level
